@@weevil5 It's actually a quite competent platform fighter, despite not retaining a player base.

It did well by Nickelodeon licensed game standards, but as a serious competitior to smash, it doesn't hold a candle.

Iirc, Timmy Turner and Fairly Odd isn't fully owned by Nickelodeon. So they would have go resch out to whomever does and hope they say yes. Hope he gets in though, even as DLC.

​@@S713N​ as someone who actually enjoyed and played the first one a lot, even got XJ9 and Hugh. I'm perfectly fine to wanna focus on the 2nd one because it will actually be more than just the basic bones of a Smash Bros game with people barely playing online even with cross play added. At least if online goes away eventually the game is still playable with siblings and friends. they already improved it enough when people started saying multiverses was far superior repeatedly for months leaving brawl forgotten by nearly everyone who hyped it or casually enjoyed it. Tbh, it's better to start fresh now that they got the complete go ahead budget and time, with a restart on catching the audience attention. If they were to just continue to improve the old game, it wouldn't get the attention and still die off. They even added the cross play quietly because no one cared anymore. This is just, honestly better.

Clearly the first game didn't have all that much faith put on, but then the DLCs were top notch and now the sequel is getting the budget it earned.

For real. Multiversus fell flat for me. They had so much potential. But everything just felt too floaty and there wasn't really gravity to any character. On top of that they didn't feel like they were even on the map. It felt like 2d sprites on a 2d background. Not sure how you can make a game that felt worse than Smash64, a 20+ year old game, with technology AND graphics we have today. But Nickelodeon all stars gets the feel right. Everyone feels like they're on the map. They have weight/gravity. Not sure how else to explain it, but they know exactly what we're looking for with gameplay.

It's crazy cause this first game failed in less than one month. 💀 let's hope they actually try this time, hard to mess up this time around since the first game was pretty much a beta.

@@inFamous-VIC They didn't have voice acting, animations were kinda mid, lack of side stuff. It's just crazy because Multiversus had more budget and quality but worse physics and mechanics. This game had the mechanics but bad graphics. A smash killer in 2024 needs to have both to succeed.

Voice acting was only added in English though, not for any other supported language. Which seems incredibly discriminatory if you ask me.
