Nicki Minaj's Manchester gig on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour was cancelled late on Saturday night (May 25).
The singer was held by Dutch police in Amsterdam for alleged possession of ‘soft drugs’. They said the singer was arrested after allegedly trying to take 'soft drugs' from Schiphol Airport to another country. She was released and fined just before 8.45pm, Dutch police said in a further statement.
The gig at the Co-op Live arena was called off around 9:30pm on Saturday night. Minaj met fans outside her hotel in Manchester in the early hours of Sunday.
The gig could be rescheduled, Minaj said on social media platform, X.

Surely people who listen to this sort of music realise that there is a reasonable chance that whoever they are going to see, could be shot, kidnapped, overdose or, as in this case, get busted before the concert.

Eh Nicki Minaj doesn’t rap about gang violence or anything like that. Nor does her music promote violence or drugs. She raps about a variety of different things but the majority is fun pop rap stuff with suggestive lyrics. Know about the artist you’re speaking about before commenting.
