A few years back, I used to watch Nick Music, as I was introduced to it by a single Nickelodeon advertisement that said that something will also be airing on Nick Music, but it was only a white lie, as the ad secretly was just trying to get as many viewers to that channel as possible. I liked it, and I assumed it targeted the fans of Teen Nick, as Teen Nick also had music videos between their shows as an alternative to traditional bumpers. When Nick Music leaves from this world, I will remember it fondly. This video really makes me want to watch it right now.
How do you still have MTV Hits? Is this a scenario such as when Dish Network was unable to switch from Nick GaS to The N for 3 years and so they kept Nick GaS on for that time being for only Dish Network subscribers?
I didn't know Nickelodeon had it's own music channel. It's must've been the channel's answer to both MTV and VH1 (the three channels we're own by Viacom and National Amusements, per-se). I didn't expect the channel to be a combo between MTV and Nickelodeon. No wonder the Warner-Amex Satellite pre-'85 twist had went on since the beginning.
NickMusic is easily among Viamount's lowest channel tiers, so it will probably get the axe one day. It's also worth noting that Nickelodeon actually just repurposed the name for a newly relaunched RU-vid channel dedicated to music from Nickelodeon shows
