Don’t give up Nicky!! Your swing looks so good. “A river cuts through rock, not because of its power, but because of its persistence.” Love from Florida brother 💪🏼🏌🏽♂️
In the beginning when learning the swing and game I would suggest taking out the long irons i.e. 3 and 4 irons. Fill the gap with a 5wd. Long irons and driver are the most difficult clubs to hit. This will make scoring a little easier. On the range practice the long clubs and when ready put them back into play later on.
I can promise you I will feel that same emotion when you break 90!!! As I've said before, watching these helps me see mindset strategies for when I make mistakes in life! Keep it up!
Nicky! You were a baseball player so here is what you are doing wrong in baseball terms. Youre trying to pull a left field bomb. Keep your front shoulder through center field and let it naturally open up! Thats why your contact is inconsistent
Hello from Australia 🇦🇺. Have been loving this since the first episode dropped, as a hack golfer i absolutely love watching you get about the course ❤️
Dude it’s coming keep it up. We all want to see you do it and it’s only a matter of time. Your course looks insanely pure and fun to play and I’m very jealous. Some things that have helped me personally break 90 (not saying it would work for everyone but I’ll throw it out there cus I have nothing better to do with my life): 1.) Not knowing what I’m at relative to par. Knowing you have to make a certain score on the last few holes was added pressure and playing freely helped a lot. Garmin looks great for yardage, but you don’t have to put your score in on it. You could try just putting a par on every hole to try not to think about what you’re at and add it up at the end. 2.) Playing easier courses with slower greens and less elevation changes will build your confidence to come back here and go lower knowing you can do so. 3.) Leap frog lag putting drill could help on these diabolical greens. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-paLDb6kP6Os.htmlsi=dS59zJITzJUGgn1x Getting your speed right will help with two putting. This drill is sneaky good and shouldn’t be slept on. 4.) Chipping in your backyard into a bucket or a chipping net. You can work the trajectory you want it to come out at. Opening the face more to get the ball to sit more and have less roll out on those greens. Experimenting with higher lofted wedges at home will give you confidence to pull up half flop shots on the course. Hit the bump and run when you can, and only use the half flop shots when needed. Keep up the positivity and you’ll break 90 in no time. The first time I broke 90 I shot an 83. Golf’s a crazy game, and we’re all ready to watch you get it done.
Work on lag putts and incorporate some bump and run shots into your game. Will help save some strokes around green and help eliminate those 18+ ft putts.
I did the same thing last time i played par putt for a 99 which is unheard of that i actually give myself that chance when it comes down to having to par to break 100… smashed the fucking pin 😭
Love these videos! I’m playing a lot with a few friends who are trying to break 90 and are close. I tell them to just play bogey golf. Play for bogeys, eliminate big numbers, and take advantage of par 5s and par 3s less than 160. If you can par the 5s and short 3s, those are big wins.
I will say that Nicky’s swing off the tee looks MUCH improved. Smooth, good tempo with a shallow swing. Just need to get that iron game tuned up and breaking 90 is very doable.
Nick that par on 11 is huge the fact that you can pull yourself off of that bad hole on 10 and come back with a par proves you got what it takes to break 90 keep trucking along man you got it
Nicky, I look forward to these vids! It’s like watching myself play. Lately I’ve been shooting between 100-110. Let’s keep the energy high. One swing at a time
FINALLY @nicky cass!!! Been waiting for his!!!! Remember, driver's for the SHOW... short game is for the DOUGH! I am on my leader board at my club I go to in the InRange System we use! Your videos on golf got me obsessed with GOLF! I wake up at 5:15 am and hit the range BEFORE the gym now! INCREDIBLE motivation! Thanks bro! "love ya's"
Bro you have a really solid swing with a few flaws that are holding you back, but I see you shooting in the 70's consistently if you can get those figured out.
Dial in your putting speed for 5’ 10’ & 15’ putts. Basically calculate how far your draw back on your putt and see how far it goes. And you’re shaving 8 strokes off of this round. If you ID danger, and take it out of play, around the green that’s another 4 strokes off.
I’m sure you get a lot of “RU-vid tips” but if you’re used to putting long when you’re setting up your line, pretend that the hole is a couple feet closer than what you’re looking at. This will help with any distance putting, especially the ones inside 6 feet when you hit it 6 feet past the hole and end up in the same spot.
You actually have a really nice swing. Shorten it up a bit and work on solid contact, then start bringing back a little more as you build confidence 👏🏽
Not a golf genius by any means, but what helped me break 90 was thinking of the entire round as a round of 5’s. Shoot 5 on every hole that’s a 90 automatically, but you par some on the par 4’s and 3’s you have some ability to be more free.
Good work Nicky -- putting tip from deep -- don't try to make the putt, just try to get it inside a 3 foot circle around the hole ... going for the hole from far out causes you to hit those putts too long and puts you in bad shape. Chances of making a 18+ footer is rare so take your medicine and put yourself in best position to 2 putt ... Just an FYI, I'm a 16 handicap so take my advice with a grain of salt!
Those greens where rolling and huge nice course I’m about the same score if you putt some buckets turn the sensitivity up on that putter it’s gonna shave off some strokes good game enjoyable video maybe add some yardages so if you got a awesome shot we know from how far with what club
Just a suggestion, do you have any courses that aren't so difficult with the greens and amount of sand traps? Try finding a course that may be a little easier that does have PGA level greens and that may help your game a bit.
Man that course looks nice. I slowed it way down on some of the "not so good" hits and I'm no expert but maybe take is a bit easier on the down swing...your baseball background creeps out sometimes lol. Keep it up Nicky!
Starting the video..nope. 101..which is insane cause his swing is about the same as mine and i shoot low 80’s i’ve shot a 78 this year. And I can’t tell you where my driver will go.
Nicky my brother you gotta ease up on the putting. You’re cracking them way too hard man. Just tapppppp it in. Just tapppppp it in. Give a little tap tap, taparoo.
You are very close. A couple shots different would get you there. You bombed the putt on the par 3 and a couple shanks. Pull those out and you’re in the 80’s.
