This is so very, very sad. Rest in Peace, Nicky. Be at Peace, Nicky's fiancee, family, and friends. Nicky, I hope you wheelied all the way to the Pearly Gates, with God waving the checkered...
Visited yesterday the Dutch TT...thinking about all drivers who won there in the past 30 years....seeing then now this video, Nicky will stay in my thoughts ❤
Very sad. I really liked his character, as did many people all over the world (in my travels). He was more than a great rider, he was an ambassador of genuine American kindness and respect; a true Southern Gentleman. RIP from Canada.
Life's so precious love my 2 children remember sundays when we use to pick our top 3 riders in Moto gp race days I would always go for Nicky. Big man 👨 and H , love you 2 dad.
amazing, I saw a video when they interviewed Nicky at his house taking Delivery of a new Ducatti,, he said he hates riding on the streets...I still can't believe it. RiP Nicky
It makes sense though. You cant give it 100% on the streets, speed limits probably made him feel like he was putting around on a 50cc moped. That's not very fun
R.I.P. Nicky I met you in 2013 a true gent We spoke for 29mins about your future and the possibility of a motogp ride For Honda you were loved by millions THE KENTUCKY KID
This is so sad because he didn't die doing what he loved the most... If I had to choose how I would die, it would be riding a motorcycle. Rest in peace, Nicky.
I live and grown around here in Santamonica circuit and I know those roads as a biker and a cyclist : I must say that EVERY roads around here are quite dangerous for cyclists. I'm very VERY sad for what happened that day (I was like "What? Seriously? Are you joking badly? THAT Nicky? Impossible...c'mon...) The truth is that that junction is a bit blind (even if there is a well promising chicane and then a little upward slope before the STOP sign) and maybe he was so focused on the ride (and for sure so strong on the legs) that he stomped on the main "narrow" road ... I know it can happen , I done it before and have been lucky . We will miss you Kid , really badly. I hope this weekend the SBK will give you a better last salute than the motoGP guys (Vale , give us some more good memories , please). Ride on Nicky!
Nicky was such a good man and as a guy who grew up in the south and grew up on 2 wheels, even though I never et him, I always felt a kindred spirit with him...and he was a hell of a scooter driver...RIP Nicky.
