My theory, is that there are so many potions because unlike the other Kingdom Hearts games, Cure isn't infinite, so they went overboard on making sure that you always had a way to heal yourself.
What about damage? There wasn't a good way to do that. Felt like I was playing fuckin Monster Hunter. 18 minutes fighting one of those fat armors that only take damage from head strikes. Truly the secret boss.
Now the mental image is: He has enough that his backpack is just a giant fucking potion that's taller than he is and wider than both combatants, with a straw from the top going straight into Roxas' mouth like a soda hat.
I can just picture... Roxas finds a sweet heart, marries her... and what's he do when he buys a house? He dumps 8 tons of potions on the guys lap. he says "Keep the extra hp."
End of KH3, Roxas brings 5 coolers full of potions and green popsicles. "Guys, check out the POTIONS the ORGANIZATION kept in my STORAGE unit! I already gave some to Sora and Ventus but I still got so many POTIONS! I sure love this POTION surplus I can't SELL!"
Hunter Zenlith Not pointless at all because you can use Magic Level up panels to increase the magic level of cure and thus heal more. You were just making things mkre uncomfortable for you (theoretically) since you had to navigate yourself to the items menu, find a potion, use it, amd spam like 4 more.
The game wasn't challenging enough for me to warrant to heal that often. The only boss that I genuinely had trouble with was dustflier. Playing games like the old monster hunters also makes the game extremely easy, since the enemies in this game are very predictable in their attack patterns and movements. With both games being very clunky in their controls and character movement. So what would have been the point of using cure spells, ethers, and magic boosters when I barely even get hit? Better to just carry 10-15 potions and leave the space for something else. Also it wasn't that much of a hassle since they were the only item I actually carried in the entire game, so no scrolling through the items menu. But honestly that's just me and everyone has the right to disagree.
See the thing is that those "10-15" slots you used for potions though, THOSE even could have been used for more useful stuff XD 10 is such an overkill itself. But hey whatever floats your boat buddy ^^
4:17 Heh, I remember how excited I was when I found out Nico showed my artwork. Ah, the memories..... This was funny man, thanks for posting this video. XD
KH3: Olymp Sora: Hey is that Roxas over there? Roxas: *with a big bag of potions* Oh hey, so you made it to Olymp too, heh? Sora: Eh...yeah. Roxas: Welcome to hell. *cotiniues Walking with his pile of potions* Gotta catch them all, Babe! THERE HAS GOT TO BE AN END!
You can totally just synthesize a ton of hi-potions using all those potions, equip every skill, and fill the rest of your slots with the hi-potions, and break the game
it's 1 in the morning, and for some reason you woke up. That feeling in your blatter tells you the reason, so you get out of bed & head to bathroom. Halfway to the bathroom you hear a faint noise, but you can't pick apart what it is. You turn around, draining your blatter seeing the silhouette. And now, now you realise what that noise was, it was a voice, the voice of whatever beast stares you down in your own home. It slowly walks towards you making a faint noise of a hoof clop. Out of fear you turn around and run but as fate would have it, you trip, you trip and fall. The clops from the demon's hoofs get closer and louder, it kneels down beside you and wispers in your ear, "G̛̀̕e̕͘͠t҉̼̘͠ ̶̴̨u̴̕̕p̢̛͟ ̵̴̀҉͈̦͖o͏̨̀n͏̕͡ ̛̕͡t̡́̀h̡̳ͅe̶̵̴ ̧̧͞ḩ̷͠y͕͝͝d̛͜͠r̷҉̛̘̕a҉̧̠͠'͏̛҉̞̘͝s̷̨̨҉̭̹̮ ̸̵̨҉̺̝̰b͏̝͟ą̷͝c̵̨̖k̸͘͡."
Kit Kat I did watch it. But 0.2's and 358's amount of chest potions are not comparable. The usage of potions in 0.2 has nothing to do with his complain of potions because he didn't have the backpack space to worry about in 0.2. He did though in Days
Axel's Last Resort Axel: Roxas, please you have to remember. Don't you remember me and Xion? Roxas: Who the hell is Xion? And why won't you leave me alone? Axel: I was hoping it wouldn't have to come to this but I'm sorry. You've left me no choice Throws Potion Roxas: Ow. What the hell? Why did you throw a potion at me Axel continues throwing potions at Roxas Roxas: Why are you throwing these potions at me? What are you trying to do? Axel: Come on! Think of all the chests you opened only to find a potion. If nothing else, you must remember that Axel continues throwing potions at Roxas until he's drowning in them
