An outstanding countryside with a beautiful manor. This is something out of the movies or English series on tv. Just mesmerizing my good man. Thank you for sharing. Great rattan/wicker furniture and comfortable. Colefax & Fowler, Fabricut, Pierre Frey, Schumacher all all top fabrics for curtains, furniture, etc, etc. The colors are like pastel and very English and it all looks outstandingly pretty together. All that is needed is boxwood in urns on the outside and arborvitae greenery with a hint of geraniums.

Hello, You mention about a Box hedged formal garden that is being made for your sister's family. With many years experience of formal gardening on a large scale, I should advise against this with the current issues of Box blight. Although Box is a wonderful plant and, when clipped makes great hedges, alas, the disease is now affecting Box plants across the country. An alternative is Ilex 'crenata' which is very tough, looks very similar, without disease and far less expensive. The Temple of Diana is a wonderful folly but, in my view, was designed in 1760 for leisure and not for accommodation and that is for what it is best suited.

Fabulous tour. I’ve been to both places years ago. Nice to see them again & see how they’ve changed. I miss DA Roses. After seeing this, I’m inspired and am making it my goal to travel there in late May 2025 to spend a special hallmark birthday there.

Hi from Annie that place was fantastic all those stairs going up and down bit spooky for sure. The last bedroom was the nicest of the three loved it and those views so wonderful. The rose place and its gift shop are very nice indeed.

A beautiful building and I could tell the orangery room had wonderful acoustics with that domed ceiling; the only thing it was lacking was a grand piano!

I have three David Austen roses in my garden and they are perfection. I volunteer in the rose garden of a summer home of the Vanderbilt family. The floribunda Queen Elizabeth rose is just beautiful . I love some of the names of their roses as well. 🌹
