I need to test this again, but I believe the mechanic with her special input is that if you complete the circle input successfully, she'll sit on her case and fire it forward, whereas if you "flub" it, she'll fall over (cuz you messed up!) and fire the shot into the air. I play on controller and this I believe is what I've found. So I think if you're using WASD inputs, on your special you'd need to only hit E, then W right after (maybe have to hit A as well otherwise it might just interpret as a forward movement) if you want to do the arcing shot. Edit: I just tested it on my phone, and the difference between the shot where she sits on the case vs. when she falls off is whether or not you let go of the attack button when she begins sitting on the case. So do either the held attack or the special, do the circular motion, you'll see that she begins to sit down, and if you let go of the attack/special attack button before she completes, she will fall off the case and the vertical shot will fire.

Been waiting for this since your Anby video, and did not disappoint when you helped me see where my Nicole was lacking and where I can make simple changes to really make the difference! I'd like to see Soldier 11 next when that's my only S rank so my dps along with Anby and Nicole, but hoping to pull Nekomata when she seems to be the best for the Anby/Nicole setup before Zhu Yuan is released.

There's one kind of way to make it a little easier for keyboard mouse users, which is to alt bind the E skill to another key which is easier to access, like a mouse button

You can get a mouse that has button on the side and keybind it to "E" so you can WASD easily.

I might be talking out my ass, but rotating her movement clockwise or counter should work for performing the unique EX special, if one is easier for you by all means do it that way. Controller players also have it extra easy here, as doing a 360 is a simple rotation of the stick. The real reason to do it is because if you charge the EX Special with a 360 she sits down on the suitcase and it's incredibly hot.

*FOR NICOLES HIDDEN MOVES* Tested this to get consistent results (PC) **NEITHER ARE EXCLUSIVE TO HER HEAVY OR SKILL/THEY CAN BE DONE WITH BOTH** ~To get her to sit on her suitcase~ Hold LMB and press WASD right before Nicole does her basic heavy attack while still holding LMB (WASD Too early and she will do her basic heavy. Too late and she will have already started the basic heavy animation) ~To get her to fall off the suitcase [Volley Shot]~ Same as the first hidden move, but you must let go of LMB before Nicole completes her sitting animation TIPS & INFO (please read :] ) - These moves consume energy and will not proc if there isn't a sufficient amount available/if EX Special Attack isn't ready - These moves are only tied to her heavy attack, so there are no pre-reqs, meaning they can be done before, mid, or at the end of a combo and even after a directional dash attack. All that matters is that you hold LMB and WASD before she does her basic heavy -Like stated above, these can be done with both her skill and heavy attack. They will produce the same results. HOWEVER, using her E/EX Special Attack obviously skips right to her heavy attack animation so you can proc her hidden move quicker. That also means you'll have to be quick to get that WASD input in. - If you need help with the timing, think of her basic heavy attack as one animation and her regular attacks as another animation. You'll typically be holding LMB before the regular attack animations ends, but right when it does and is transitioning into the heavy attack animation is when you want to WASD -Her volley shot is thankfully just a faulted version of the first hidden move. All that matters is that you execute the move like normal and let go of LMB before she starts the attack AKA before she finishes her sitting animation. -Mobile and Controller users, I'm sorry I can't be of much help to you :( when to execute the inputs and the mechanics should line up of course, but I'm not sure if you guys need to do a full 360 or just a counter-clockwise 12 to 3 rotation. Slice of time is insane honestly. I think its like the A rank bis wengine for Rina bc of the pen ratio stat, but Nicole benefits from it a lot too. After unlocking it her rotation become much more fluid. Her ex special skill is available every rotation now and the ultimate is up a lot more than before. And my characters are still really trash built. so it will only get better

Do you think it's worth it to swap to Nicole and charge her EX skill when it's ready? Especially on single target, it's hard for me to judge whether it's a DPS increase or if you'd be better off just staying in on your stunner and getting an extra combo off.

Can someone help me figure something out with my Nicole. I have a W-Engine battery installed but for some reason the game will not allow me to turn the power button on. All of my other characters have their W-Engines turned “on” but Nicole’s will not turn on and I do not know why!
