The Executives, Governors across the US, did not transfer to their Health Commissioners during the pandemic, though the Health Commissioners were on state task forces. In part this is due to a military deployment and actions related to societal lockdowns and even possible biological warfare. It really is not an apology gate.

politician should stay away from how the people resolve their health situations, gov should not have any power to impose any health mandates, the people should be able to choose the way to combat any type of sickness, and there should be no reason for politicians to intervene.

Regretfully, I had the Republican women in US Congress from New York prior to Covid-19,And on the military deployment of the hospital ships by Pres. Trump on both coasts, Gov. Cuomo accepted one for New York, but I understand that was not the help the private hospitals wanted. Post Gov. Cuomo seeking ventilators and ICU equipment for the hospitals.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo, of course, does those are his hospitals and nursing facilities and in the end covers for them! Same for the AG or the Health Commissioner as his personnel! However, we did have Letitia James, the AG involved with Trump of NY, as blatantly announcing wanting his job shortly thereafter.

He didn't use the ship, he could have used it to house the seniors instead of forcing them back into the nursing homes causing more deaths.
