We did this yesterday after watching your vid , hats off to you for climbing this on a regular bike , the steepness of lead mine is deceiving in the film , we did it on ebikes , boosted on the bend in your outtake and spun out totally 🥴 It’s a great area and one we will be back to for sure . Thanks
I did this ride in reverse at Christmas. The bogs were almost unrideable! That first climb out of Pateley almost killed me too 🤣 Didn’t help that it turned out I had covid at the time 🤦♂️
Hi there, great video! We were over that way a couple of days ago and intend to come back and ride there. Is that route published anywhere, please? I’ve just checked Trailforks and I don’t see any marked trails around Pately. Again, is it just a question of sussing out the bridleways and linking them up? Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.
Took a bit of mind bending to latch onto it, but I’ve sussed out how to use the Trailforks link now and use the upload to navigate. This is such a great thing for you to do Andy, thank you very much. Gold star service and great videos to get the juices flowing. Keep them coming 👍
Great ride that Thanks for the outtake part too I liked that Another great video thank you We are going out biking over haweswater at the weekend going to be a wet one looking at the forecast
Nice ride mate. I've done a fair bit round there but not that route. I'm at my parents in Killinghall next weekend & fancy giving this a go. We used to bunk off school at Pateley & go up to the mines :D
Remember riding pockstone moor with the lads on our road bikes 30years ago. Thanks for the video brought back some memories my sister lives on the farm just after the caravan park.
Lovely video mate, it's beautiful round there. Not quite Morzine in terms of riding though 😉. I'd say John doesn't need an eBike, the speed he goes up those hills. Love the out-takes too; I feel your pain 😃
Your right he didn’t need one in fitness terms. He is a good rider. But unfortunately johns back had it. And the ebike takes a little of that pressure off. 5 second sequence took us 5 mins to film 😂😂. The things we do for a video hey
@@TrailFinder It's something the viewers don't realise either. I did an edit a month ago from a place in Shropshire, filmed loads of 3rd person shots for what became a 40 second chunk at the end. That took me well over an hour to film!
@@Stopadoodledoo stuff like that is well worth the effort to film. Just adds to the vid. Just look at your last vid. 4 takes to get that song right. Well worth the effort mate. My fav part
nice video as always! did you get your cracked frame sorted under warranty? or have you had to get it repaired elsewhere? would be keen to know as ive cracked mine too!
I didn’t mate. I was hoping with been honest about how it happened they would take pity on me and sort me out? Didn’t want to lie about it as they had the right to refuse to help at all!! But instead it was there crash replacement and not warranty. But with been so honest they let me have the part for more or less cost. Happy with the outcome. But if it ever happened again I would seriously consider just having it repaired? I have found a company that seems to be pretty good and was recommended by someone who had there ibis repaired by them. If you want the link for the company just let me know
@@TrailFinder interesting bud to be honest with it being a crash and obvious it was from a impact I don’t think they’d have warrantied it if you’d tried your luck either, shame really as accidents happen, seems on carbon wheels companies will replace Free of charge even if you run over them in a car but not with frames, seems a bit backwards to me given wheels are way more prone to rock strikes than a frame… glad you got sorted! Out of interest was it just a rear triangle or crash replacement on the whole frame? If so would you mind a rough estimate of cost as that will determine whether to get it repaired or not
