I love how he set it up in the first round. Standing southpaw throws the left kick, lands in orthodox, just as Cosmo throws a right cross. Boom! Counter left hook.
Watched a lot of Nieky Holzken’s fight videos lately, and imho his defense is almost flawless! Definitely one of the best I have ever seen. His amazing offensive skills shadow his defense. I find it very underrated. It is technically so simple but so perfectly executed (to a master-level!), he just makes it look so easy and it goes unnoticed. I mean, that guy DOES. NOT. GET. HURT. You land so many and you think “oh there is no way i didn’t hurt him!” Wrong. You didn’t hurt him a bit. His defense is so efficient, you barely hit him. He is a fucking sponge and can absorb beyond imagination. Though he will certainly make you think he is hurt, and you will go all in and get drained the fuck out, while he will gain more and more match points - if he doesnt find a KO opening. And his fight IQ, holy fuck! How he strategically has all of the control in all his matches... And he can probably go 7 Rounds, no problem! He’s definitely in my ‘top 5’ pound for pound amongst all fighters in all martial arts. Too bad he had to stop his Mt and kickboxing journey due to his right ankle... But I still love to watch him box. True legend, respect 👊🏽 Btw respect for the commentary too, for noticing Holzken’s right leg issue and stance so quickly, I completely agree, haven’t checked yet but I agree he is most likely suffering from injury here.
Yeah, I think hes had problems with his right leg. He hurt it again in his 3rd fight with Murthel. Then he just hasn't been the same since. I think a prime Nieky would've eaten Regian Eersel alive. Hes had a great run and is one of the best kickboxers ever. And my personal favorite to watch.
@@SDoGx54 McGregor would stand no chance against boxers and kickboxers his weight, even at featherweight. His striking is average just good against mediocre mma striking
