Anybody knows why the main character become a child again? Is he going to disappear the longer it takes? Btw I expect that somehow emil could get his human form back. It's still sad for him
@MAI ANH DO Without getting too into it, it's basically a villainous "magical" entity that really wants humanity dead, and is exceptionally powerful to an almost absurd degreee. For example at one point a few of its spores escaped a quarantine, infected 1 person, it then created 5 new life forms from that person effectively dividing the power of those spores equally across 6 people, and even then after a few years even just one of those people are powerful enough to kill every single human on the planet in 1 go... Oh and it's potentially multi-dimensional as well so it also kind of tries to kill every human in every universe... It's just this big existential threat that has become this crazy, overarching secret background villain of the whole franchise so for anyone who played through Drakengard 3, giant flowers in Yoko Taro games make us scared now :D

Okay: I was totally not expecting them to put a Novella content into the game. Usually you need to attend a concert, buy a Novella that never gets released over here, etc, etc, to get such content that adds on to the overall lore of the series. Kudos to whoever decided to get this added in.
My guess is that they've revived via the data from the replicant system and they are in NieR Automata's timeline(maybe all the replicants got revived) .Kaine died in the forest of Myth, her memory got loaded in the system and the admins are the pods(they look like kid 2b and 9s) from Yorha that survived.The giant flower might be related to the Maso Particles...
I knew about Ending E existence but not what happened. So when the last fight happened coupled with Kaine and Weiss teaming up along with the remade soundtrack I LOST. IT. It was so awesome to see them fight together! Weiss and Kaine really are iconic!

Hey man just watched this since I do not want to replay the 2nd half of the game 4 times just to get here. I enjoyed the video for the most part but feels like you were rushing on some parts especially the reading part. Thanks, this is the best Path E playthrough out there.
I kinda figured Kainé just always had a better weapon than you lol (literally wielding two of the shits) Her swords are just TOO iconic in this game, and the NieR franchise as a whole. They aren't Virtuous Contract or Cruel Oath iconic, but they definitely are a close second. It makes sense as to why they finally let you use one of her swords. It truly is the ultimate reward.
People think C is the Papa Nier ending bc that’s what a dad would do to save his daughter and he would think only he can watch over her, but Brother Nier is the true ending anyway, and a sibling would trust a friend to care for his sibling.

Well don’t forget Zero only achieved her win in Route D, dod3’s Route E (told in the novella Story Side, which is basically a mix of routes A/B/D) is what leads to Drakengard 1. So there technically wasn’t anything to undo since Brother One already screwed the pooch.
(spoilers below, watch vid first) okay yes, nier automata reference was definitely made with the style change in the middle ...but the ending with the flower... are they teasing Drakengard 3?
Thanks for uploading this. I just got the b ending, but I don't want to replay part 2 a 3rd time and then beat the final boss twice, then replay the 1st 2 hours again just to get this part. I'm burnt out. I have 30 hours in route a alone doing every side quest I can find but kinda rushed b out of boredom. I like seeing the bosses point of views and the new kaine text base cutscenes, but the gameplay is identical to a. I really like this new story content, more kaine and actually playing as her, but I can't justify replaying old content for another 6 hours or so. They could of combined b & c d route, c d just has 3 minutes of popola & devola cutscenes added and an alternate mermaid boss fight but everything else is the same as b besides the 2 endings and 2nd final boss. I wish you would record the text base parts slower, I had trouble reading it.
So, black boxes are based on machine cores, and at the very least the tower is based on Sleeping Beauty. Going by physical appearance, clothes, and voices, could these two be prototypes of No. 2 and No. 9?
I greatly appreciate this upload, but going a bit slower in text and letting dialogue play wouldn't have been too much, SERIOUSLY ... It's literally impossible to keep up, even slowed down.
Found out. Credits instantly happen and roll fast like in autotomato's joke endings. Your e save exists and you have to start again from the entrance to the forest
I still have some questions: Is there a way to go into the library´s basement or is it available only on the fake version of Automata? Also, I know that Kainé was rejected from The Aerie and Emil had that hideous form, however, they could still live in Emil's mansion or did anything happen to it? Why did they have to stay on the plains outside the village?

Damn... I wish I have the time and patience to play and see all the endings on this game. If this was release back when I was in college... I could've finished this by a 3-4 days with all endings completed...
game is good enough. Played ending A, then since route B had me redoing the fragments i read a bit about it and saw i had to get all the weapons to get ending C. Did that then finished B to then have the game tell me "get all weapons to unlock ending C". And for that i have to get the fragments again to have 3 minutes of new cutscenes that don't reveal anything to then get to what you did in this video... I could not be arsed, i'm sorry. Having to replay the fragments once was enough, i'm not doing it again xD I wish i didn't have to get them AGAIN because i already had the weapons. That could easily be said to the player after ending A, then routes B and C could be combined and then only get the ending C decision if you have all weapons which the game would have already told you to do. I 100% nier automata, route B was the same events but with another character, from another perspective, not just the same with a new cutscene/voice here and there. I know this game's original version came before but fuck xD They could have really, really fused those routes for the re-release

It’s based on the novella, entitled Ending E, hovever, the major difference are the Automata elements added that replace the ambiguity of Kaine’s journey in the tree.
I'm very late, but this is the route that happens if you begin a new game AFTER Nier sacrifices himself (with a different save file name). You play normally until you kill the giant shade in the Aerie, then this begins. Of course this is also only in the new Replicant remake/remaster. Not in our original Nier games
Stupid question: can you, as Kainé, go to other parts of the game? I played this route last night and was too tired to run through it all over starting from the Forest of Myth. I'm wondering if there's unique dialogue in Yonahs village, her house, Seafront, etc. or if the game keeps you out of those parts since they aren't part of the story.
Not gonna watch the vid yet till ive gotten the ending but figured was the best place to ask. When your save is restored, is it specifically your last save or is it overlayed onto your new one? Because if its the first save then that would mean part 1 is still unplayable. And now a more insane question. Is there an automatic needed save after endings or cou ld you theoretically save in part one then get all other content done without saving and still get to play it again? Im guessing not?
Ok so I'm not very far into the rabbit hole that's called drakengard/nier. Can someone explain me what's canon? In automata it first seems like emil's dead. But somehow still alive ages hundred years later. As far as I understood he was just a head after sacreficing himself. But here he's back.. (with 4 arms???) Are there 2 versions of emil one that sacreficed himself and fight the aliens. And this "new" one? Please someone try to explain me xD
This ending are cannon to automata. Well after sacrifice himself, he survived but head only, (seen on ending B) and then he finds a new body but the novel didnt explain how he get the new body. After that this emil (the real emil) died cos of exhaustion of copying himself many times when fighting aliens and its machine army around 4000 years after this ending. The one we met on automata was one of his remaining copy. This all explained if you unlock emil sidequest on automata where u fought a lot of emils head LOL
Chronologically, it’s might starts from drakengard 3, then drakengard 1, nier replicant/gestalt to nier automata. drakengard 3 explains the existence of queen beast in drakengard 1, Salt illness in the intro of nier replicant is queen beast’s ashes from the ending in drakengard 1, Emil is an immortal in nier replicant/gestalt who then copying himself to protect earth from elian in nier automata and sadly gone because of exhaustion.
This ending is pretty canon. And probably if it wasnt for the og game's low budget, would have been included in the game from the get go, and not part of a novella

A happy ending to the true route!? No more suffering for Kaine and Nier gets to exist so they can live their lives together? Not sure how I feel about the remake. The ending was suppose to be tragic where Nier sacrifices his entire existence so Kaine can live.
This ending was always supposed to happen it's just that on the older version Yoko taro couldnt add all this because budget and square enix so he novela-tised Ending E The novel is The lost word And honestly if you knew about drakengard you'll see how fucked up this ending is....

Nope she still refuses to go to the village so you're blocked off from the other places. While the Junk heap ended up being closed due to reasons posted on the door.
The canon ending for Nier was Ending D +Ending E. Ending E basically continues where Ending D left off and this leads to Kaine finding a reborn Nier. Eventually they will die of old age and the rest of the Replicants and Shades all die out in the world due to the loss of the Shadowlord causing the Relapse to happen but due to Kaine's journey through ending E, she basically saved her own personality and physical appearance into the Android's data center which will later be used to create 2B and A2 models
That but also read The Fire of Prometheus for another link between Nier and Nier Automata. It's written from the point of view of the P-33 robot that you destroy in the Junk Heap who actually survives, reactivating after a while & painstakingly rebuilding his own broken body. I don't want to spoil it, it's a really good short story.

The protag of the game kills it successfully but its death causes a pandemic called White Chlorination Syndrome. Leaving the symptoms aside, it threatens humanity as a whole. After decades of fighting it, humanity comes up with a plan called Project Gestalt which separates the body and soul of humans. These events set in motion the story of NieR.

Accord is an android that runs a weapon shop, Zero is fairly similar to Kaine/A2, "I hear a song" is similar to the line "I hear a sound" from Angelus, 9S, Nier, and Caim all have a few parallels, flowers are a running motif. There's probably more, but you get the idea.
@@expanddong3102 I saved as brother Nier at the junk heap befrore Ending E and finshed Ending E. Now I still have that save at the junk heap before you get to play as Kaine and here is my quesion: When I load that save will I trigger Ending E again by beating Hook a second time?
SPOILER : At ending D, yes, you loose everything. It's like you've never played the game when you want to start a new save file. But the data you had before doing the ending D (levels, weapons and money) are restored when you finish ending E :)
I love everything except how they made it look like Automata. I have always loved how Yoko Taro games are detached from each other just enough to let the player fill in the blanks on their own but they made it so unnecessarily blatant here.
Yea now im sure of it, this game is a big load of bullshit, there is the potential but its so contrived and porly executed it puts people to sleep, well there are those who can push through...now that is the truly remarkable, because there are hudreds of stories in books, mangas, games that are far more intresting than this slow burn of a love story with too much drama and slow ass walking back and forth.
Hate this ending E/Cancel ending D. My trauma will never recover, even after 11 years... i love that trauma, you see ? How dare you, game ? How dare you....
