This is from a game called Nier:Automata, its basically a game where (spoiler alert) aliens invade earth, causing the humans to flee to the moon and there are Androids that are the humans invented to try to protect the human race from machines, plot twist: The humans were already extinct hundreds of years ago, leaving the Android's to continue fighting without a reason, and without them knowing the ones they were trying to protect were all gone.

Omg your still doing Nier:Automata songs? I have completed the game for a few months now and am getting emotional from hearing ost's of the game just cause the story was so great and emotional.
That's the "sequel." I believe this is from the original NieR. However, there is a more intense version of this song in NieR:Automata called "Song of Ancients Atonement."
As much as I love Nier's music, there's something that I don't get. Did they make their own language like what Gravity Rush did for the songs? Still, amazing cover!
As far as I understand it, all the lyrics are sung in "Chaos" language. It was developed by the music team just as something that would sound nice and lyrical, but the game incorporates it into the lore as the language used by the Ancients. The wierd symbols from Nier and Nier: Automata and the spoken language of the Angels from Drakengard are all examples of "Chaos".
Like other replies here have said, this is indeed "Chaos" language. However, it's not an actual speakable language. Each song takes sound fonts from different existing languages on an individual level and melds them together to create a beautiful song designed even in the pretense of language to evoke specific emotions from the listener without actually containing translatable terms.

I finished nier automata and I am going to stream it again to finish all the side quests however listening to the original nier soundtrack makes me want to play the game and you guys did a amazing Job ! your voices are very angelic :3.

Dont know if you already knew this, but the original version( from the first Nier game) is a soft song. There is fast paced boss music for the original Nier as well as the Automata Version, but this is a faithful cover of a song from the first game's OST. EDIT: or you could have just meant you didn't expect her to do the soft cover, I don't know, sorry if im explaining too much!
every track on Benevolence is stunningly beautiful. I went and got a second copy of the CD after my brother threw the first out of the window instead of waiting for the youtube release because it’s just that good.
So it is another cover of song of the ancients, now im listening once i finnished all Nier and Drakengards are there, and it was song of the ancients sang by lizz that convinced me to try nier
