Nigel Farage has hit back over EU expenses claims saying he can spend his taxpayer-funded allowances "as he likes".
The UKIP leader said that the allegations made by The Times newspaper were "erroneous", saying the £60,000 he had received since 2009 for running his office in Lyminster, West Sussex, was legitimate and that he did not have to account for how it was spent.
In an interview with Sky's Dermot Murnaghan Mr Farage accused the newspaper of "conflating" his EU allowances with the row over expenses claimed by MPs at Westminster, which he said was an entirely different matter.

This kind of hatchet job only makes the resolve of the electorate stronger. I believe more people will now vote for UKIP; because it has become very apparent its opposition has employed journalists and Sky News in its attempt to discredit it. Lie after lie is been told by the main stream media outlets. The media needs to put its own house in order.

Dermot Murnaghan is the worst presenter I have ever seen in my entire life. I will be telling everyone about how rubbish this interview was and why to avoid Sky News specifically because of Dermot. What a pleb.

Once again Nigel Farage sinks an establishment snide with the truth. It's getting to look like he is only straight-talking no nonsense politician in the UK: hence the constant attempts at character assassination by the scheming Westminster mob and their media satellites.
