@@pragmatist165 Nigel Farage's strategy to place candidates only in key Labour strong holds gave the Conservative's the majority they needed in those constituencies. The swing from Labour to Brexit Party in these key Labour seats was signicant. Without him the Tories would not have won so many seats from Labour. It was a startegy that worked exceptionally well for the Nation to back Pro-Brexit Boris and place him in government with a majority.

Beachhead achieved: D-Day: The Invasion of Normandy. On June 6, 1944 the Allied Forces of Britain, America, Canada, and France attacked German forces on the coast of Normandy, France. With a huge force of over 150,000 soldiers, the Allies attacked and gained a victory that became the turning point for World War II in Europe. Today its is political ideas rather than peoples lives that are the battleground. MEGA-MAGA.

@@OuterSpaceOwl Farage is far right . unquestionably.... immigration is a good example .. he condemned on a rabid way the humanitarian decision to accept destitute refugees in large numbers by Merkel it was courageous too .. those lambasting her did not have a compassionate bone in their bodies .Farage was bitter about it. So don't give me that rubbish about Farage being middle of road .. he is extreme on most things and nasty with it
@@pragmatist165 Most sensible people are happy for their countries to take in genuine refugees and I don't think even Farage has issues with that. He was critical about western nations bringing in large groups of single young men - surely any actual group of refugees would also have women and children alongside? I can't think of many people who would praise Merkel for the unmanageable amount of immigration she has subjected Germany to. Are you really saying that it hasn't caused them problems? Only a troll would argue that huge waves of immigrants coming into a country in a short space of time is fine and dandy. It's a massive strain on infrastructure, housing, jobs, medical care, etc. Having more control on immigration (not doing away with it) is something which is practical, not racist. I say this as a non-white person by the way.

@CIA He was a Conservative party supporter in his younger years but he became disillusioned by them in the early 90s. He does better as a lone wolf, in my opinion.
@M ZAKRIA And your efforts payed off, because enough dissatisfied labor supporters voted Brexit to take many seats away from Corbyn, thus giving them to the Conservatives instead. That was always the plan. It would be nice if Brexit still wins a few seats though.
Farage is often abused as the cheeky upstart but he has acted in the most gentlemanly fashion in this election. He has put the interests of country above his party and personal ambition. Hope you stick around Nigel. British politics needs more people of integrity like you.
Why is this interviewer just trying to insult and humiliate Mr Farage, when his achievement and influence over the entire Brexit saga has been definitive. We also have to have the spin from the BBC in the video description instead of letting viewers decide for themselves what they are watching. That's the BBC. Fair and impartial. Paid for by the public.
@@Margatroid Playing a hard-ball devil's advocate role is a perfectly amicable way to scrutinise your interviewee. People only accuse Neil of being petulant or bias when he does it to someone they like or agree with. It's silly, because grilling people is just the way he does things.
@@asytippyy352 I don't agree. His demeanor is too purposefully unpleasant to be worthwhile. As Aristotle put it, "the pleasant is necessarily bound up with the good." He could ask tough, probing questions without the childishly petulant emotionalism that he presents in this interview (and apparently all of his interviews). This sort of thing is the television equivalent of trying to get "rage clicks," and it is not admirable.
@@Margatroid You're entitled to disagree man, but people go into his interviews knowing what to expect; if they crumble under the pressure there's only one person to blame. I advise that you go look at Ben Shapiro's interview with him for reference.
@@asytippyy352 Ben Shapiro is not someone I respect, for essentially the same reason. He is constantly unpleasant and full of vitriol, and holds his audience by maintaining a demeanor of fabricated outrage. He is a childish man, and his presence in the world makes people's lives and minds worse. But he is not much of an exception; we have a rather infantile and disrespectful media culture in general nowadays, and saying people "should know what to expect" does not excuse it. I'd recommend you go watch some old episodes of "Firing Line" from the 60s, 70s and 80s to see people of entirely different ideologies debating with one another respectfully, with good humor and treating each other as human beings. We have a powerful case of generational amnesia when it comes to the level of decorum and politeness we expect from the discussions in our news media. And they're not just ruder now--they're stupider too. Full of shouty emotional "reactions" and bad-faith roleplaying rather than genuine thoughtful communication between intelligent adults. The state of our media discussions is just despicable, frankly. We used to expect so much more maturity from the people who represented us on major issues. We expected them to be even more mature and thoughtful than the average person, in fact.
@Daughter of Enoch His strategy was to ensure a tory victory by taking all the working class labour vote dipshit. And if you check the electoral map now, you will see it worked nicely for him...
