The reason for this is its going to take a long time for the Tories to recover the trust of the British people after partygate and their reputation for economic competence after the Liz Truss mini budget debacle. With 120+ MP the Tories don't need Reforms 4 MP's to recover. What will probably happen now is they will lurch right to counter the threat from Reform and that will leave the centre ground to Labour which is where elections are won in the UK. I think you realistically need to be looking a the 2030s before Labour are out.

When they gave the exit poll results it showed them getting 13 seats so it was a relief when they only got 5 and 3 of them very tenuous likely to be lost easily next time. Farage will find it very difficult to get his voice heard at Westminster. He'll even be on tv less too as the BBC will have to be aware of treating his party with the same 'due diligence' on appearences when it comes to political parties and he won't get the auitomatic pass as the ' interesting guest' spot.

A lot of people in Reform said they would win 15-20 seats. The exit poll had them on 13. Also their % vote wasn’t that great.

Given the timeframe they had, they have done well. Nigel has a big voice and will try to block any mad labour scheme.
