As soon as they took him on board , i renewed my season ticket, the best appointment we have made in my 65yrs as a robins supporter , watch us go next season ,out will go the players who never worked for our robin badge ,they know who they are !!!!!!
On what do you base this optimism on? His results have been the worst of any manager Bristol City have ever had! And I started watching them in the 60’s!
@@jeffreyroberts7438 I am most surprised at your comment ,having been a Robin for so many years , it is called the bigger picture, Nigel Pearson was not appointed to save our season , that was all but done , his appointment is for our future , no manager could have done any better with our current team. they are simply not good enough, lets wait until next term and see how many of todays side remain at the gate ,very few i will wager, not forgetting we have 9 first team players currently injured , text me again ,after 10 games of next season , i will predict, a much brighter picture, stay safe.
Every club that gets promoted from this league has a team full of very strong players. You can always see the difference when we play a team like West Brom/Watford/Norwich etc
Can't wait for the new season feeling extremely positive that we may be playing premier League football in the not too distant future ⚽⚽⚽🏴🏴🏴
Step one of the rebuilding process, sign a highly experienced and quality manager on a permanent basis done... Now to keep Famara Diedhou and Daniel Bentley as well as well as a few other big names, rebuild our squad sharpen up our style on the pitch and start rebuilding let’s get behind Nigel the management team and the players and see where we go from here we’ve got to be realistic though we arty going to be going straight up but the future is exciting UTR!
Like a lot of modern coaches/managers, he talks a good game........trouble is his results have been unbelievably shocking, he also has a track record of failing!!!!......I’ll believe it when I see it!!!!!!!
For a brilliant manager as you describe him, his results and more importantly, performances with city have been atrocious! We’ll see after the summer with new recruits, if he is a ‘great manager’!........
Time will tell, can he get rid of most of the present not good enough squad?.. summer signings will show his ability to draw decent players to the club? I hope everyone’s optimism is well founded!, results and performances since he took over have actually been worse than the previous manager( and he should never have been given the job....as all the supporters intimated before his appointment) big season next year, with supporters back in, the team cannot carry on with the home form shown since the pandemic started. Never has a manager had such euphoric backing from supporters with such a poor team performance since he’s took over.......total relegation form!!!
Apart from the fact that the previous manager had lost 6 on the bounce (+ 1 when the 2 coaches were managing) including a 6-0 at Watford and the team were averaging 1 shot on target per game. It was a miracle we got 10 points in 6 games from that starting position and that saved us. Then the players gave up....
Pearson's Record - 13 Games Played 7 Loses 3 Draws 3 Wins Taken Us From 15th In The League When He Took Over To 18th (Only 7 Points safety). Taken 12 Points From A Possible 39. I Don't Even Blame Pearson I Hold The Board Accountable, Eddie Howe Would Of Been The Perfect Manager But Turned Us Down Probably Due To His Salary.
Never going to get Howe, but I would have accepted Paul Cooke....knows the championship inside out and has an eye for a decent player. Never has a manager had such positive backing from supporters with such a rubbish record. He’s lucky city are desperate!!!!!
