For instance, while 'na wao!' or 'na wa!' is an expression of shock and/or concern, 'na wa for john' simply means 'woe to john'.... Waka can be said multiple ways 1. Waka - soft: "I dey waka go town" (I'm walking to town) 2. Wa ka - hard: "Wa ka!! (pronounced "wah kah") the stress is on each syllable. There's also a miniscule pause between both. It means the object/person of your attention should get lost. Immediately. 3. Waka - hard: pronounced similar to 2 above, but there is no miniscule pause in-between the syllables. It said with the palm of one or two hands spread out towards the object of your anger. It's similar to the insult "your mum"
