Those types of matatus were really popularized in the 90s. They were fascinating because back then there was not so many ways to access music as we do now and they always had the most current music so the experience had more impact especially for the urban youth

The US embassy was bombed in 1998 and many people died. It used to be in downtown Nairobi and after that a new one was built where it is now. After the bombing at Westgate Mall, even though about 15 years later, they had to ramp up security.

Thanks for clarifying. They look to me like military guys because they were fully kitted and their uniform look completely different from all the other places where I saw security guys. I agree with you if you said they are not military guys. Thanks for clarifying.

They were probably a branch of Police called Administration Police (AP), they wear Jungle green uniform while regular police wear blue @@IamAfrikan

That's right @melanin most African countries have mineral resources. You will be surprised that Kenya do export Gold and other solid minerals. Something else that I know Kenya have as a location advantage is GeoThermal Energy which Kenya is in the top 10 in the world.

Kenya has natural resources. They are just under-explored. A geological survey showed that Kenya has 970 minerals, including Uranium, coltan, etc.
