Very good analysis of the rituals, it's origins, it's cultural influences, etc. I learned about masaib, matam, Iranian tazkiahs, the Audh Nawabs, and the final hours life of Hazrat Hasan. I have read about the Karbala many times. 😭 ( Iam a Sunni)🤲🕌🇲🇾
A very balanced approach Allhamdulillah. Im a Naqvi from India roots back in Lucknow, 3rd generation in Mumbai and can relate to this majalis. May Allah swt bless you ❤
Salamu alai qum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatoh. Dear lover of ahl ul bayt, you moved me in ways that few are allowed. Alhamdulillah. Jazakum Allahu khairan.
I think there's a danger in incorporating too many cultural or non-Islamic rituals into Azadari. We should not be incorporating practices of kuffar as it goes against basic Islamic thought. Another issue is that people have become so invested in these rituals that it has unfortunately become dogmatic and borderlines shirk. For example, the alam, people grasp at it, tie cloth on it, rub it on their faces and say doing this is a barakah and will grant your wishes. This is so close to shirk that it must be avoided. There is too much excessiveness with azadar these days. With the rave like Matam we see in Iraq and Iran, the paintings of our Imams (as), crawling on dirt, walking on coal fire, etc. Quran, hadith, masaib like the Imams (as) conducted should be the focus.
Need more academic work and research. lot of cultural rituals have attracted masses towards Azadari .. people who were never seen through out the year came in the last three days of ashara.for the rituals.in many cases this was the first door entry towards the teachings of islam.
siraiki is really the most beautiful language for masaib, its like Allah made siraiki only for mourning of imam hussain pbuh, even a sufi kalam in siraiki will make you cry
@@rahmtube2885 not true...I speak Farsi and Urdu. Im not Seriaki nor do I speak nor understand a word of it. And even I and my family say that Seraiki nohas are amazing to listen to and that they lend well to Azadari.
So do you deny the 'Aqd of Qasim (as)? Because it has been mentioned in the books of history & scholars & the conversation between Imam Hussain (as) & Qasim (as).
Where did you read about this ? Imam Hussein’s daughter Haz Fatema Kubra was already married to Imam Hassan’s son Hassan e Muthanna and Haz Qasim was not even Baligh
@@imzy0173 Any actual Hadith or Tarikh work to back up your claims? Please bring the original source, with the chain. Doesn't necessarily have to go back to a Masum, I will accept the words of a historian even, as long as the report has a chain and/or in an original source.
If this respected orator would have spent some time to describe imam Hussain sacrifice and the oppression he had been through The speech could have been useful
