They do, but they're not very good. They only really work when you're airborne, so the plane can get really misted up in run up and taxi.

But what if an aircraft arrives in the circuit for landing during your departure, then there is an incident which closes the airfield? You are then left with a decision making process of either diverting to another airfield or orbit in the local area etc. If your equipment is in the back or back at the club house you will be wishing you'd planned ahead...
