Not our first night dive in Cable Bay and certinly won't be our last. There was again anabundance of marine life - Common Spider Crab, Little Cuttlefish, Spotted Cat Shark, Starry Smooth Hound, Pollack, Velvet Swimming Crab, Eddible Crab, Green Shore Crab and South Paw Hermit Crab. At 5m max depth with little or no current this is an underwater photographers dream site.
Porth Trecastell (Cable Bay) is a sandy covered beach edged by cliffs and rock pools situated south of Llanfaelog between the villages of Rhosneigr and Aberffraw on Anglesey. The beach is a popular place for fishing, surfing, swimming, canoeing and windsurfing. This narrow bay picks up plenty of swell from the south-west, but due to its size is generally best before or after high tide.The ancient burial chamber of Barclodiad y Gawres can be found on the western headland by following the Coastal Path.
