The album “A Space In Time” was a Ten Years After’s masterpiece and who could ever forget Alvin’s legendary performance “Goin’ Home” (To See My Baby) at Woodstock ?

Actually that was just Alvin teasing............watch his surreal playing at 1:37 - 1: 42 I am still in awe and disbelief- I got blisters on my fingers just from watching ! Alvin Lee- a legend.
I had the double album on vinyl already in germany in my possesion , when it was not even available in stores. A friend of mine was a sailor and brought 10 of them to my hometown from england.
I still have 2 VHS tapes of this. So good. To think that Pete Haycock, Alvin Lee and Randy California have died in the meantime is very sad. Steve Hunter is blind and Leslie West had a part of his leg amputated. Leslie West's tone is still incredible.
Randy California drowned in the Pacific Ocean in 1997 at the age of 45 while rescuing his 12-year-old son Quinn from a rip current near the home of his mother, Bernice Pearl, at Molokai, Hawaii. He managed to push Quinn (who survived) toward the shore.
when and were was this and why the heck was I not there? lol there was another show called night of the guitars with Ronnie Monstrose etc...incredible.
Thanks for uploading this. I had this concert on an old VHS videotape years back and wore that tape out. Warning, once you start listening to this you will find it hard not to watch the whole 1:51:09. Epic stuff, all the guitarist and musicians put a good shift in here.
Will never forget this concert in 1988, saw them when the tour came to Colston Hall in Bristol, UK. Unbelievably superb; a definitive concert for seeing how rock guitar is played.
I remember watching this with my dad when it was on telly. I think I was 13 or14 at the time and I'm 40 now, I still know all the notes that are coming. It was a massive influence on my guitar playing thank you for uploading this. Legend!
I used to go in a trance when ever I saw Pete play it was no good people talking to me when he was playing even my mates the only thing I did not like when he stop playing and the concerts used to come to an end could listen to the genius for ever and a day God bless you Pete now you are entertaining them up above and proud to be born in Stafford not for off Pete where in was born Edith and Ron that was is mum and dad well done what a musician they throw the mould a way only one Pete loved you Pete

+Theodore Dushane - That woulda been '79. The only thing good about being an old fk'r was the incredible shows i got to see! By this year, rock as we knew it, was close to the end. We all had ''Disco Sucks'' bumper stickers, but we couldn't hold back the tide of disgusting BS. If u don't have Ten Yrs Later-Rocket Fuel, i highly recomend it. one of my all time faves. Peace
By the way, if you love that track, you will love the album that it was off. The track was IN THE SKIN...from the album NOUVEAU CALLS. A pun on NO VOCALS because the entire album is instrumental
Also, at their 20th anniversary reunion concert, Ted Turner introduces Martin as "my brother"!!! Although yes, it is widely believed that they are not brothers.
