I've headed into London for a bit of night photography. But this isn't your usual shoot. No tripod, all handheld and some unique locations. Tonight I'm shooting streetlamps and alleyways.

Great shots. They reminded me of film noire with the background music. All that was missing was the cigarette smoke and the private eye voice over.

My absolute favourite video on RU-vid. Very inspirational. I went out and got some very pleasing shots around the Wapping area. The street lamps against the Victorian houses and warehouses worked really well, and I got nothing but positive feedback from others. Many thanks Craig. Absolutely love your channel

Black and white can really be atmospheric and you have done these images justice. The noise also adds to them, not that I noticed much noise. Going to give this technique a go.

Just discovered your channel, I’ve been thinking of shooting night time scenes around London for while and your video has helped inspire me. I love passage ways, lanes and old cobble roads and how they look at night and not having lug a tripod around is a bonus. Fortunately I live in East London so already have a good idea of some interesting locations. I’ll be subscribing for sure.

Ok,, I have watched this video 3 times now and every time I love it more. I have finally decided on two things. First, I'm going out into Annapolis MD and try to find some night scenes using a hand-held approach and then converting to B&W. Second, I haven't been to London in more than 15 years (except at Heathrow) and didn't care for it much when I was there. However, looking at this video, I've decided it is time to revisit the city and do an evening tour that follows your path and see what I get out of it. Thanks for the video and thanks for the inspiration.
