@@hasanakib7112 nah when i played through the demo i liked to judt cruise chilled around the city while listening to the music so i turned this effect off
You can really tell when a game is made by a corporation VS a game thats made by car enthusiasts, for car enthusiasts, and this puts that in the spotlight. I cant wait for the full game to be finished.
Man, i miss old NFS, youd think its just nostalgia but old NFS were genuinely good and had sweat and tears put into them, amazing soundtracks, amazing story telling like MW05, great sound design, great customization, great car selection, great everything (except for a few bugs which, for early 2000s game werent even game breaking)
Maybe you guys think I'm talking shit, but I'm serious. My friend has a tuned Altezza, with about 430hp (he spend something about 12k on that car and it's amazing). Sometimes, he comes back from some events and the cars is overheated or broken really bad, and i never had understand why he just pass the limits of his car knowing well that it will break. 2 months ago i got a nb miata, and I understand now why we aways pass the limits of our cars. When we are in the apex of our driving (not really on the overdrive of the car, but on ourselves) we just enter in a feeling that suck us to just push more and go beyond. In Night runners we fuck off our cars because this flow of feeling take our head and just make us send it so hard, the music hits so perfect and make us want to break all of limits possible. Maybe I'm crazy, idk.
Is the music distorting when you start to lose traction and fading back in when you regain full control? If so that's a crazy detail, you can tell this dev knows what it feels like to send it
@moisesezequielgutierrez I don't know what happened to Criterion. They were the same Criterion that made Burnout Paradise. The sense of speed in that game was incredible, the content was amazing and the game world was one of the most cleverly designed. Even Most Wanted 2012, even though it was pretty much Burnout Paradise 2 was a solid game. I suppose they've had a lot of brain drain over the years cause it's like they forgot how to make a good racing game.
The gameplay choice of making the player going as fast as it possible can, is undoubtedly one of the most *MOST BASED* gameplay choices i've ever seen. *_It forces you to constantly improve if you want to enjoy the game._*
I am actually more stunned by the camera in this game. The way it tilts in corners. The camera shake, that is very prominent in it's presence but soft in the actual movements themselves, so it's not sickening. Just the position of it behind the car is very well thought out. But yeah... The music is cool as well. Especially the applied high-pass filter when you ease off. The dev seems to understand their job. I'll have to keep my eye on this game.
The high pass filter is applied when you’re outside of the powerband of the car you’re driving. Really cool detail that lowkey tells you what gear you should be in!
Yeah I actually had the old thumbnail for this video as the “Night Runners Archived” playlist from spotify but then switched to a preset since it looked cooler 😂
The sound design is very impressive on its own, but I just realized that lighting you drive through affects your dashboard guages as well. Like at 3:54 you can see the small changes in light reflecting off the gauge glass as you drive under the white street lights. This level of detail is insane!
This game constantly put me into anxiety in every race, speeding in high speed in just two tight lanes with other cars and truck around, narrow tunnel, and sharp turns is simply put the perspective of how dangerous the real scenario of Midnight racing is.
mainly cause of mainstream racers being oversaturated with the same crap since 2014. nothing but the same ole same ole, at least this title is breaking the norm
I SEE YOU STANDING THERE TONIGHT WITH AN OPEN HEART TELL ME IF YOU FELL ALIVE I SEE YOUR NAME UP IN THE SKY COULD YOU HOLD ME TIGHT WITH THE TEARS UP IN MY EYES THIS FEELING THAT I CAN'T DESCRIBE WILL YOU LET ME KNOW SHOULD WE LET THIS FEELING GO
I remember beating the last racer, (a few updates ago) and pushing my poor 180sx beyond its limits and still winning, After the race though all the lights on the dash came on💀
the speed sensation this game gives is surreal, the way camera moves is on top with mw12 or prostreet's camera choice, thats probably why also this game became really popular, havent seen a game this inmersive in years
Im a casual racer Ive never heared of this game until now. I've never played racing games with manual transmission cuz I just wanted to casually drive without thought BUT. The Adrenaline. The Music. The Speed. I have never used manual transmission. But thats not gonna stop me from mastering it just to hear that sweet soundtrack.
something this game does that I've never seen before, the transmission isn't a difficulty option. when you buy the car, some are auto and some are manual, and it can't be changed. assuming when the full game comes out there will be transmissions swaps. but it's a really cool detail.
@@etrcentenario9737 another sick thing is if you buy an Auto transmission car the other racers will point it out and even question or ridicule you for buying an auto over a manual
I want this game to be like the next big street racing game I’m so tired of NFS and Forza horizon as some one who misses the Maximum tune series this game is a breath of fresh air I’m so stoaked for the full release
Bro... That CHONKY sequential box sounding shifts and whining of the straight cut gears Is just......chefs kiss I really wanna see some more imports in this game than the porsche i feel like it would be such a heavenly ahh fkn experience with this sound design driving some European v8s i6s v12s or even American v8s you name it. bro can you imagine that? (idk how the import laws were back in the day in Japan but hey im juss sayin.. It would be cool to see more diversity in the car selection in the full version)
I can only make myself listen to the song now through the whinning engine of that turbo and the clunky clutch sound. Without it it seems something is missing.
Beautiful driving getting ready to check the game out for myself keep watching this for the music and the game itself for a game still in the works it looks amazing
When the full game comes out, i will buy it the moment it is avalible. And quite frankly, im not even a car guy. The game is just so simple yet so fun. No microtransactions, no nothing. Just you, some sick beats and the car going 220 km/h abaout to blow a piston after hitting a truck head on.
Been playing the prologue quite a bit recently, it’s absolutely amazing. Can’t wait for the steering wheel support in the full game and hopefully, someday, VR
i found the game thru the other vid with emotion engine in it i was immediately hooked and to my surprise they used two other artists i already listen in the soundtrack. now im addicted i dont even like racing games that much but i like good games with passion behind them and a clear direction and aesthetic. i was even looking at nissans to buy this game is gonna turn me into a car guy lol
Hmmm an indie racing gane that i only hear now, thats been in development for god knows how long thats bringing back the JDM style of racing with a soundtrack that only earlier 3d racing games in the 90s to early 2000s would only have while also incorporating it with how much you "FUCKING SEND IT" How clearly you can hear it during gameplay with an intricit system of car customization? *perfect* Also if this game is fully released everywhere, im gonna be ripping out my money....SO HARD!!!!
I got randomly recommended this video today and I dropped everything I was doing after that first clip to download and play it. Unbelievably good time.
Im not even a fan of car games much but thos music and what kittle ive noticed, makes me want to play it. The point is to go fast to hear the music, thats a great design. And the music choice fits perfectly. I need the whole soundtrack now.
I can't wait for the day this might come out on consoles (The developers are saying "maybe" right now), Hopefully they add more big/break beat techno, I think that would fit an intesne street racing vibe pretty well.
