Processing packages as a seasonal warehouse associate for Amazon Logistics in Fort Myers Florida. This is how all your packages you order on Amazon are processed then loaded on to a delivery truck.
10 years, oh my goodness. I don’t mind the job, but my feet have always been my number one reason for wanting to leave. I’ve tried custom Dr Scholl’s, three-four pairs of shoes. Which I’m certain the safety shoes are what’s causing the problem, because when I could wear normal shoes in the past, I was perfectly fine. Taking extra shifts for double pay and everything.
Working at a delivery station was among one of the easiest jobs I had, but the stowing was killer, especially when you had to pick up after the people who weren't keeping up the pace. Other than that, I loved how predictable and flexible it can be with so much VTO in case you ever wanted to call off for a day... or even a whole week.
@@SimplyLena123 on the package there’s a label letters. You see those racks behind the workers? Those racks have a letter assigned to them. You grab the package with the same letter as the one on the rack. Boom, easy job
@@arroncisco9176it depends on your location. All amazons are different, that’s where the complaints come from. It would be great if they all were the same but nope
I just started and so far I like it. I don't have to deal with customers and idiot managers watching over my shoulder. There are a lot of weirdos that I work with since Amazon hires anyone for the warehouse. I'm just nice to everyone and try to keep to myself. You don't know who youre working with...
For any warehouse worker come with comfortable shoes/boots with impact resist , change your soles, comfy socks. The concrete is unforgiving on your feet and back
Bro I just started 10 days ago, and I’m 20 hours negative UPT because last week I tried to attempt and was unconscious at home for 52 hours straight. The micromanagement is intense, and for 10 minutes tot, like okay Val, I’ll piss on the floor then. I won’t stay hydrated. They want to make you think they care about quality over quantity but it’s a fucking lie. If it wasn’t for the fact my rents 1300 a month, I’d work at a job that actually gives a shit about me and pays less.
I was a truck driver for almost a year and I can tell you that working on Amazon is no picnic nor does management really care about you but you don't know that some jobs like trucking are really miserable even if you might make much more money. A job at Amazon can give you showers and allowyou to see your loved ones every day if you get the right shift or work towards it. You have to really hit bottom in life to then realize that places like Amazon are not that bad and are temporary positions unless you have a degree and plan on moving up into management or horizontally across the organization if you develop certain skills. When you're a truck driver whether otr or local you got no time except to work and sleep. 14 to 16 hour days easy and you never see your family. Put things in perspective.
As an Amazon worker, how these people record inside the warehouse is beyond me. And keep their jobs at that… that’s the biggest rule there. Is not having a phone out on the floor.
@@user-nq4rv3zn3i I was just curious since you said you would be bored so I assume you have a job you find more exciting,. I personally would find this job slightly better than a lot of office jobs or retail
ive been hearing a loy of compliants. I'm a 44yr old female, and I was considering coming to amazon. so this is my way of preparing myself and reading comments.
Must be a small site. Our DS is hell. The packages come down the belt fast like everyday is peak season and the robot machines that we have now, really never stops. It wasn't fun at all, but I moved up quickly (only a year in) with my work ethic and now L3 Driver Trainer in the OTR department. Glad I don't have to do overnight again, if I did, I would go back to driving ASAP...
@@zoknowmation451 no it's a delivery station. This is pick to buffer. They grab packages according to stickers and place it on a shelf for stowers to put into delivery bags.
@@vqdiaz5386 comparing a 5 hour shift that is a collab effort with no rates tracked and a solo 10-12 hour shift where your rates can determine your job security (and doesn't matter if you make rate because the systems automatically give write ups to the lower 15th percent so your compared to every single person in your department.) Yeah the extra labor is worth the less stress.
Man, you guys got it easy, you need to come to DVA2, they NEVER finish sort or pick and stage, so many packages, OVs and XLs. We have bags piled up like castle blocks in the overflow. Please do tell, where is this station?
Wow i can't believe u let haters stop u from posting ur spicy triggers 😒 u clearly enjoyed them u gotta learn to not let haters control ur life and do what Julieta wants to do. Idc if u block me I'm just tryna keep it real💯
Keep it simple. Pick a job you can see yourself doing from looking at job activities, learn the skills needed for the job, and if you can learn this without needing to go to university then do this as you can learn everything online. But some require uni like med school. Pick something high in demand in your area of residence, learn the skills, choose 2 jobs related to skills be great at these specific jobs. Rather then 10 jobs you can be ok and make it harder for you to get a job because you're not being in depth.
I have a question so I’m bearly gonna start and I’m confused like what are you doing once you enter the Amazon building is there gonna be like someone waiting for you or like that specific group to take you to the room and watch videos or like just stand there?
In my warehouse, we have a stand-up. Going over safety, the volume of packages and any other necessary information we need. Then we will do routine stretches. After that, we'll look on the board for our picture and what we'll be doing for that night.
I advise you contact him to buy and rent his account, I also bought mine. They are also specialists when it comes to reactivating and programming blocks for better Tips, their services are first class
As Safety at Amazon, all you guys who film in the facility would be fired on the spot. You know the rules, no video or photography. And putting your phone on the conveyer, wow... just wow.
Why is it hard to apply? Every time I try the website says there isn’t anything close to me and I try different zip codes and nothing. Is this true or a glitch?
Everybody works for somebody in this life, welcome to the real world 🤣 Even if you're an ENTREPRENEUR, you still work for your customers, but hey, you can tell yourself whatever you want, what do I know?🤣
