I totally understand you not wanting to talk about COVID all the time. My daughter is a night shift nurse in the ER and after 12 plus hours, she would prefer to talk about other things. Here in Cincinnati, some Airbnb owners are letting medical staff stay in their houses/apartments so as to not expose other family members to the virus. Be Safe~~!

I work in a medical facility, and we use diluted bleach water for all our cleaning! It works amazing! Stay safe during this time, I love watching your videos! Cause I also work night shift! :)

My best advice is to just start. You don't need all the equipment or fancy editing program. Just show the world who you are and what you're going through and your community will find you. BE YOU.

Working as a nurse I’m kind of surprised you didn’t know that diluted bleach is used as a disinfectant haha because that’s what the hospitals use to clean as well. But that amount of bleach will last you like 20 years. Because you use like a teaspoon amount, if that, per bucket of water 😂

Emma Leyva i remember I worked at this snack shack at a golf course and the health department wrote us up because I put a cap full of bleach into the bucket of water and apparently that was WAY too much haha

Emma Leyva definitely! Its pretty caustic and overkill in most cases. Plus people sometimes combine it with ammonia cleaners or vinegar which make chlorine gas (or chloramine in the case of ammonia) which can kill you. Peeps, Please be safe if you are going to use bleach as a cleaner, dilute as directed, and dont mix with other cleaners!

I dilute the Clorox also with water and clean all the knobs etc with water and soap then disinfect 😏 just want to say how much I appreciate you all (nurses) and you make such a cute couple good together .. All I have been doing is social distancing for everyone and myself

I understand completely, I work nights at the hospital as a CNA and when I get home it’s the last thing I want to talk about. You are already scared and worried about it while working when you get home you just want to relax and think about other things. Be safe and thank you for what you do. Bleach does work as a disinfectant but you can not pre-mix a spray bottle and keep it for days! Bleach is not stable when mixed and will lose its ability over time pretty quickly.

Yep! Bleach is usually concentrated and if you add it to water it becomes a solution that can be used as a disinfectant. I think when I was in a lab where we prepared our own solution it was a 1:10...1 part bleach to 9 parts water. Cheers!

TheReddLife no, that would be a 1:11 dilution, for a dilution the equation is solvent/solvent+diluent so the bottom half of the equation is the sum of parts of diluent plus parts of the solvent. I highly recommend Kahn academy if this doesn’t make sense.

We own a restaurant and bleach diluted with water is a sanitizer (they have test strips to make sure the amount is correct...and the ratio is on the side of the bleach bottle as well). You don't need to buy expensive wipes and cleaning products. Wish more people knew this.

I use bleach solution to clean counters and floors and you can mix 1/2 bottle vinegar and 1/2 water and it cleans my glass and windows..works great!

I work in Dialysis and we use 1:100 water/bleach mixture to clean the chairs and machines between patients. Definitely a good alternative when you can’t find any Lysol wipes!

Question for the next tough vid: What are you doing about your hair? I work in a hospital too. I wear a shower cap my entire shift, but still wash after every shift. It’s becoming super dry and brittle and stripped of all color I had- do you have any life saving product recs?? ❤️❤️
