Night to Morning Natural Hair Routine

First off I just want to thank you for your humble honesty. I did a big chop years ago thinking that by now I would have at least 12 inches all over. But I didn't know the first thing about growing natural hair. I was getting it braided, weaved, sewins, cornrows. In 4 years my hair is barely to the bottom of my neck. so this year 2017 I decided no more heat. I shop for different products. I keep the ones that work and throw away the ones that don't. I found it easier to just two strand twist the perimeter all up to the top and then finger roll the rest. Not because it grows the best like that; just because I don't have to bother it for weeks other than coconut water refresher (to soft and liven), coconut milk (to penetrate the two strand flat twist all around the perimeter), and coconut oil to keep it shiny. I run my fingers through the top to lift and give a little volume and gel down the sides. I do this until the parts for my flat twist are no longer visible. I just started tying up my hair last night (my scarf and bonnet always comes off). I take hair supplements too. At this point I don't really care about hair growth. I just don't want it to fall out or have to manipulate it daily. I just put my products in, shuffle my hair brush the edges and go. Hey maybe one day 12 months from now my hair might just be longer. But right now I don't care because I won't go back to heat or weave and I won't spend hours conditioning more than once a month. I will pray for your hair growth if you pray for mine. Aww shucks I will pray for both our hair growth right now. Majestic Lord Jesus my request is trivial but it is a deep desire of my heart none the less. Please bless this young lady and my self with supernatural hairgrowth and hair strength. In return we will give you the glory, praise, and honor in Jesus Christ name I pray. Amen. Be blessed.

I'm about 4 months into the big chop! This video has brought me life. I have curly hair with the ends straight which is weird. I love my curls but ready for it to be long again. Thank you for your tutorials our hair is so much alike. I finally have someone I can actually really watch without having to guess so much. I have plenty of product but didn't realize the gel would define my curls better.

Thank you for the tip coming out of a weave after 15 years. Yes 15 and had to cut almost all of it. May have 2 inches to work with. Struggling with the look, it's gray on top and sides, salt and pepper in the back. Will try this technique.

I know this was put up some years ago. But going on 8 months natural myself and still trying to figure out how to get my TWA together, has been some work. And seeing your vlog, I just want to say I have mad props for how awesomely your wash n' go turned out. I wish I could use the curl smoothie or even that much gel/olive oil in my hair. But my hair is like "no you didn't?!?!" To all 3 of those products, lol. But does make me wonder if I can do something like this with Miss Jessie's products though. To get the best TWA, using the S-Curl Texturizer gives me the best look. I use the Shea curl smoothie too, ECO gel and Argan food oil. Easy on the water due to it drying too slow and the Shea product showing in your hair unresolved. But I just love my hair!

Your hair is very similar to mine and curls easily with water. I'm gonna try prepping my hair at night so I can just add water in the morning. I don't use the Shea Moisturizer coconut & hibiscus curl cream that you use because I'm allergic to it. I use Shea Moisture wash n go gel. Love it! Curls are poppin!

You should try Aloe Vera Juice mixed with a oil of your choice. Aloe Vera juice act as a sealant to keep the moisture in. I use Aloe Vera Juice and eucalyptus oil(3 drops).
