Night Vision Talk 

I will say from using nods through the military, having a personal set opens your eyes to the use of IR today. In the field you’re pretty much in a “light sterile” environment. In LEO environment you have Apple Watches, phones in pockets constantly trying to IR strobe looking for your face, not only ring doorbell cameras but Security camera IR floodlights. Taking my dog for NVG walks in the neighborhood (because Texas is way too hot to do it in daylight) I’ve seen houses that im like damn its midnight and there house is lit up with more area lighting than Ft Knox, then flip up nods and they are completely dark as far as white light. Even some car dash cams have IR floodlights. Stumbled accross a teenage couple making out in what they thought was a pitch black driveway once. Kid must have not known his dad’s ring driveway camera was literally right over top of them.

Honestly, if you’re looking for a great set of comms capable headsets without spending a thousand dollars per, the FMA Ops Core replicas are fantastic. I’ve sweated in them, I’ve rolled in them, they’ve gotten extreme dusty and wet, and the only issue I’ve had with the 3 sets I’ve had is that one had a wire come loose.

Agency wise, what did yours go with and are they issued to every officer or patrol vehicles?

Did i hear ear armour or earmor for the headset? It looks pretty much identical to my earmor which has done me perfect so far, i've used it for airsoft but it has been great suppressing any loud sounds like pyro which can be very loud, but also i've been in front of a, not a blank firing gun but one of those guns that uses gas to imitate it firing, but i don't even react to how loud it is. Yet i can still have a regular conversation and hear little noises clearly.
