It seems like you imply that Nightblood randomly started talking about destroying evil after being awakened... But "destroy evil" is the command the 5 scholars used to awaken the sword.
Also you forgot to mention that the Nightwatcher and Cultivation were in the possession of the sword before Nalan. And btw im pretty sure Vivenna is not hunting Vasher. She knows he's the one who trained Adolin and Kaladin, yet didnt ask a single question about him, she just kind offhandedly mentions that they had the same trainer
So, yeah. I went back and forth on whether to include Cultivation or not. It is only ever implied that she has it, and there is no evidence that either wielded nightblood. I'll definitely be talking about this more, there's some weirdness going on for sure. You might very well be right about Vienna though. Good catch!
Major cosmere spoilers including mistborn I can't remember where or if it's confirmed on a WoB but I thought on scandrial, since preservation used part of himself to make the mist or something like that, the balance between ruin and preservation was still perfectly sync because ruin also had part in investing in night blood Awesome videos man. I'll be glued to your channel. Keep it up!
Yep, you're totally right. Wow, I never would have even guessed he had a hand in shaping it. Thanks for bringing this up, this is super cool wob.coppermind.net/events/360/#e10902
Bruh! I've been listening to the graphic audiobook while I'm at work. Did not piece together Zahel & Azure true identities. If anything, I'm looking forward to a reread sometime next year when book 5 comes out
@@LoreoftheWorlds I also love the channel (that intro is brilliant), but I also also love the Stormbringer reference. Also I believe they pumped 10,000 breaths into it
I'm not sure Zahel uses stormlight so much as he has a weatlh of BioChromatic investiture that maintains his immortality :0 He's hinted at being a revived being that has died but reanimated through the wealth of investiture that he once held, hinting at his wealth of breath he maintained as a returned, but lost after dying once again but finding revival through the cosmic weight of his investiture? So he's died twice I believe, and his second revival leaves him as regular mortal free of breath dependence, i think....
I would love more realmatics and world building, as well as character theories :) "here's this character's background" videos are great too but I feel like there's a lot on the main cast already as it's such a character focused series. Your humor was something I really appreciated in the Characters to watch in RoW, though, so if future character videos are like that, I'm for it.
@@LoreoftheWorlds Rad. I really enjoy your tinfoil theories (and find them making a lot of sense sometimes lol). Thanks for putting out cosmere content while we count down the days to RoW
At 4:52 you mention that you mention that Vivenna nearly got killed by two of the five scholars. I believe the you have misunderstod that Tonk Fah is one of the five when he is in fact not. The five scholars are Vasher, Shashara (deceased), Arsteel (deceased), VaraTreledees (aka Denth) and Yesteel. I don't know exactly where this information is comming from (word of Brandon?) but according to the coppermind Yesteel isn't in Hallandren during the events of Warbreaker. Therfore Tonk Fah can't be one of the five scholars.
Whaaaat I did not know night blood is with son son vladan 😲 🤔 it fit him actually, he is a skybreaker, he is dedicated to do justice or fellows orders/law So what better than a talking sword " let us kill some evil today " 😂
Some nitpicking: 4:51 It wasn't 2 of the Scholars, I mean one of them was a Lifeless, he wasn't actively pursuing Vasher and Nightblood. 5:19 He doesn't consume Divine Breaths to stay alive; rather he has one as a Returned. Also, it's really fun to watch this after ROW :) Keep up the good work, your videos are prety great :D
hey, man! loving your stuff. if i might suggest something:::: you could tell which books we're getting spoilers for... im almost up to date (40% through RoW), but when i read "SA SPOILERS" im like *hmmmmmm idk*. And yea, i'm checking dates on your vids and wont watch anything made after november 17th, buuuuuut.... yea! just constructive criticism! keep it up, im loving it.
Fun fact: of the wielders mentioned in this video, every single one was either a descendant of a cognitive shadow (Vivenna) or was one themselves (everyone else). Coincidence?
SPOILER! LIKE MEGA SPOILER FOR RoW! Well the endgame for Nightblood or at least a part of it is a way to kill a god, or to kill a highly invested individual. Or Roshar this led to a new Odium, Rip Rayse and hail our favorite king Taravangian. I just can't wait to see what will happen and how Nightblood's story will continue in Shinovar now that Seth and Kaladin are gonna team up to cleanse it.
I think there's gonna be some weirdness with honorblades here as well. We know there were at least a few left in Shinovar, and that appears to be where Nightblood is headed. It's gonna be real interesting either way
I didn’t elaborate, sorry. I see so many narrators and commentators get the pronunciation wrong, as though they don’t know that it’s a common word with an establish pronunciation (with accepted variations). When they get that wrong, not only is it a little embarrassing for them, it shows they don’t know it’s a color, which means they don’t realize the connection to Warbreaker there right in the name. If a character was named Black, but narrators say “Blake”, that would be just as strange an error, and the listener would be lost.
Up until I read this comment thread, I believed I was pronouncing it correctly. Thanks for pointing out my error, I'll definitely be fixing it in the future.
Only Shashara and Vasher awakened NightBlood. The other 3 scholars had no part in the awakening. Also, NightBlood is sapient enough for conversation, yes, however he’s like a newborn with no clue what evil or good really is so he allows his users to determine what is evil and whether they themselves are evil too, which they almost always are and they then impale themselves on the sword.
