12:20 "no iron player plays that aggressive" i have seen iron players that are the definition of aggression. i played with a guy who didn't even take out the tier one tower, and still fought 3 guys at their inhib tower.

You're very unlikely to win the 1v5 without paid actors. With a reset champ maybe but the issue is they can play so many different versions of a split and the assignments don't have to even be that good and they still win. I think a better challenge would be 2v5 with 5 bronze players with a minimum of 200 games played this season still in bronze. This would also cut down on the smurfing.

Riot should really release a new champion that every time he died, he goes: "Still... Winnable..."

These are at least gold smurfs. No way they are iron lmao. I think this gimmick is already dead. The first time it was spontaneous but now people in your chat know what to do. You need to grab iron players that aren’t in your chat. Doesn’t help they ghosting too

Quite possible people are creating fake iron account in a attempt to snipe your stream. Also, the champ matters, no matter how good you are, numbers count... I can only see this being done with Trynda Sion or Master

you know what would make it more like an iron game? having 4 bots in your team. so enemy would have fed laners. now you don't have useless feeders as your teammates... and enemies can't get free kills. also bots would hold the lanes a little, you wouldn't lose the towers so fast. if you do a round 3 add 4 bots to your team.

Still would be much more realistic if you also had a team of Irons with you. So the impact of one "better" player would be more visible.

These 1v5's are fun, I would suggest enemy team isn't allowed TP though. Enemy map presence is just to strong, Also ban infinite scallers for the enemy team. That should make it "more" fair. I've tried making rules for 1v5 love to see others do try 1v5. Also if the enemy team gets too many tanks they can just chain CC & kill you, even when they are behind. It is such BS. Those are some of the biggest issues I've run into, can't wait to see the next 1v5 good luck. ;)

Totally happy to see a re-match! I would still love to see you climb from a legit hard-stuck iron account in Ranked. Would give some educational value on how anyone can climb with the right skill and knowledge. Granted I guess it might get hate for smurfing.

to all people claiming those players were not iron - imho they very much can be iron a friend of mine was stuck in iron for a long time - he mostly played as brand/morgana support he pressed skills (not all of them and some missing, but he tried, you know) he warded, he had basic map awareness (aka looking at the ward in the river for a gank) he made reasonable imho macro decisions the only real problems he had were not dodging abilities, lack of proper spacing, and very poor mental - he would run at enemies in lane, die pretty much 1v2, blame his adc for not playing, and then tilt for the rest of the game plus he just didn't play often enough to climb out of iron so from my experience, iron players can "perform" quite well - yet you can clearly see at 33:40 that they have 3 items while nightblue has 6

you should play as a laner, that way you can get kills during laning phase instead of farming jungle and being behind in level

If you do this again, I'm pretty sure lilia would be very strong (that or maybe rek sai ?) to be able to go around the map at mach 5 with grat depush. (Super minions might be a problem ?)

Yeah..1v5 actually helps the Iron players focus. Maybe take 2 iron teammates and carry a 3v5. The 2 iron will be like bots anyways

You are definitely just underselling them. I am considered bronze but still do things youd consider high level. I practice wave management, am comfortable tower diving, and keep relatively high cs (8.5-9 per minute). Im not saying im good, just that we are seriously slept on. TBF, ive only ever used one account so its super deflated with the games in my learning phase

It would be interesting to see this with ascending rank/descending enemy count. 4v1 with bronze players, 3v1 with gold players, etc.

The 3 iron 1 guys all had 10 or less wins, would be better with legitimate hard stuck iron players. There's a good chance those iron 1 players would eventually climb out with more games played.

my strategy if I were the 5 iron: Trundle - Hullbreaker, always far from the team splitpushing and taking towers whenever possible (Ghost/TP) Ziggs - atk speed boots, nashor and lichbane, melts towers, should focus on getting them if the nb3 dies anytime. (Exhaust/TP) Lulu - BoRK, main team DPS, point'n'click CC. (Exhaust/TP) Pantheon - Point'n'click CC, helps pushing waves if needed. (Ignite/TP) Rammus - Point'n'click CC, full armor/mr, can tank towers without minions if needed. (Smite/TP) everybody at early game ziggs and lulu go bot, pantheon mid, trundle top and rammus jg. If nb3 go jungle like this is just a free win by taking the towers super early and they'll overwhelm them with map pressure. If he picks an assassin like rengar, master yi, kayn... the point'n'click CC will probably shut him down if the iron just clump in a deathball. If he got something like xerath, with insane range and clearwave, then the team splits and overwhen whit trundle and ziggs on side lanes melting towers. Rammus also could run to catch the imobile champions. With so much tower destruction power any death would probably be GG after 20-25 minutes.

This series is really fun to watch. Though, i feel there may be some misconceptions about iron. NB3 is right. It is insane to think its impossible to climb out of iron. However, climbing out of iron is harder than one might think for a few reason and some of these things contribute to the poor mentality there. To break it down: 1.) Not all players in iron ARE iron for lack of a better way of saying it. Skill(Mechanics) , Knowledge, Mental, and arguably the most frustrating... effort widely vary in iron. Some people straight up just don't care about winning or losing and are playing "team" death match. Be sure not to take this type of player's kill, they might run you down. 2.) In a well adjusted and ideal ladder there would be VERY small population in challenger AND iron. however this is not necessarily the case due to intentional de-ranking account sellers, bots, and inactive players that don't have or don't want to spend a significant amount of time to climb. 3.) I think most are aware that matchmaking from what riot has revealed over time functions in a manner that utilizes people on upward and downward trends in an effort to balance most users at around a 50% winrate in their approximate rank related to their rating. This is one of a few...adjustments that can affect how a game MAY play out. Another example would be receiving, an "easier" game after being inactive for a few days or a significant period of time. 4.) Lack of control and increased pace of the game has decreased the value of individual skill and knowledge. NB3 made a good reference to this in this video where he talked about needing a zzrot portal which would be very effective in scenarios like this where he plays alone, or in a soloqueue game where you have unreliable allies to put it lightly. The increased pace makes it hard for "True Scaling" champs (kayle, master yi, etc.) to solo carry a game which imo are the only types still able to in its current state. 5.) Removal of Ally summoner names in lobby and dodge restrictions remove control from a player to save time on games that are likely to be a waste of time. These events listed above make climbing out of iron without an extreme gap between oneself and their opponents take a considerable amount of games which most people are not willing to play. (Myself included)

Don't stop this series until you have won at least one game. I have friends playing in iron and they play way worse than the people in this game. Do some due diligence and get some real irons.

If you want to 1v5, You gotta play a 1v5 champ, like Master Yi, Yasou, Yone, Kat....etc, it's unrealistic to pick lee and think you can win unless you can snowball all 3 lanes ( which is impossible to be at 3 places at once... ), it's not possible to push into them before they take down your tower, so it will drag into a late game, so any early game champ is honestly out of the question.

instead of farming his Gromp in the mid-game, he needs to use push into roam tactics to keep the waves pushing and secure turrets.

I think u should go smite but without buying the item till min 14.... so u can farm normaly on lane and after min 14 u can take on the jungle item in less than 5 mins....

You're going to need a lot of picks early to make it work. The longer the game goes the worse it will get.

5v1 always win a pushing game. The thing with iron players is they want kills but only for someone killable 😂 if they know they can't win a killing game, they go for the pushing game. At that point, they're the winner

trust me, tanks like alistar is so powerful in this game mode. you get cc chained forever and tanks really do kill you with their base damages

Even if they aren't iron, it really doesn't matter. It's not like any of them were even remotely high rank for sure. The 'contest' is supposed to be about whether ELO hell is an actual thing or a skill issue anyway. So even if some of them were gold or above, it really doesn't matter. It's not like you're not going to run into smurfs on solo queue.

winnable as almost any champ that can work with ghost/tp. should be able to win/make picks in lane into any iron in almost any match up.

Honestly next time try Rammus jg. Normally everyone just builds LDR, but this is iron. Wonder how long it'll take them to figure out they just shouldn't hit you. You could try crit Thresh too. Use the statik items, it's insane. Zwag did a video on it, disgusting one shots, and they can't chase you. If they group up your first auto is a fullcrit jinx rocket on steroids. Obviously, take Hubris.

Definitely think Ekko would be a valid champ choice due to fast clear speed, and ability to outplay/5v1 with ult

This really shows how lowly people think of us iron players. We study, we watch videos, we play with higher ranked people. I tried ranking when I first started 11 years ago and a couple times after that and since then I always get placed in iron even after clawing my way to silver twice gaining 9 lp on wins and losing 36 lp on losses.

The thing is that you seem to assume low rank players are stupid, someone can have bad mechanics or game knowledge but still figure out a smart way to take advantage of you strategically. I think a great exemple of that is starcraft 2 where core mechanics and build order are so essential that it's not uncommon to find very high level player that just do standard stuff very cleanly while people at lower rank will have much better ideas and better able to think on their feet in a chaotic scenario but just don't have the macro and micro to pull it off. It's a similar deal in LoL except the specific skillset someone is lacking in can vary wildly because the importance of every skill is more evenly spread out. Some people are only good at 1v1 and if they can't get fed on their lane they'll do nothing all game. Others have very good map awareness and strategical but will miss all farm or have bad mechanics leading to them doing a quarter of the damage they could be doing. Point is someone can be very low rank and do plays that look very high level because they know how to do that specific thing. Another thing you're overlooking is that yeah randomness definitely plays a big role in matchmaking. Saying a challenger would get stuck in iron is definitely ridiculous, but they would probably lose some of their game, just not enough that it'd be a struggle to climb. On the other hand if you don't have such a skill gap, like let's say you are gold level and have an account in iron then the random factors of a game will hurt you a lot more. Firstly because there is probably some sort of threshold level where you can start consistently beating the opponent even if they're fed, and if you don't reach that in term of level gap then your games will be largely decided by which team member loses their lane, which will be a 50/50 with some amount you can contribute to in your own lane but even if you consistently win you might not consistently win enough to compensate the fed opponent so you'll get like 85% winrate when your team is doing good but 25% winrate when it's doing bad which would get you something like 55% winrate which with random variance can take a *long* time to climb. A challenger player might be able to get closer to 99% winrate with the team doing good and like 70% winrate when the team is doing bad because they are good enough they can overcome that entirely by themselves (not 100% of the time but often enough) which in that case would give you numbers more around 85% winrate which makes the climb considerably faster. (the number are made up of course but the idea is there). Point is, LoL is a game with a lot of snowball and unless you're good enough to overcome the bad games then your impact is marginal compared to that of random chance and it's only when you get good enough to overcome that that random chance doesn't matter. People who think skill doesn't matter or that they can be stuck in iron but have no flaw in their gameplay are obviously dellusional, but these feelings don't come from nowhere, there are definitely things intrinsic to the game that makes your agency over things lower than in some other games. Like, even the fact a challenger can potentially lose if a really bad game happens even if they'd win 95% of the time is pretty big, if you take a game like starcraft 2 again, I could play a million game vs serral I would never win unless serral straight up gets a stroke or something. And on top of that the thing I mentioned about the varying skillset emphasize the feeling people have that they are with worse players because they focus on the thing they are doing good and realize that everyone in their team is doing a worse job at it and it's probably the case, probably almost every game too, but they might miss things their ally do better or not value them enough (which might be why they're worse at it). Point is, league is some sort of machine that maximized how miserable it could make it's player feel while keeping them addicted to it, y'all should stop playing it =p

the problem is people just try there best to feed while you should face 4 full items enemies and 5 if your enemy notice and roam so even if you can outplay someone who have 2 items and you have just a core item you cant do the same shit against full team so thats why there is some player in iron better than gold/plate players
