I get mad when i hear my classmates say today im depressed or similiar things like YOU ARE JUST SAD not depressed and it is sad because there are people truly having depression but a lot of people think that this is a trend and pretend for attendtion . Ok, this is so weird. I thought I would share my experience cause why not? I'm in sixth grade and going to seventh. In elementary, I had a pretty awesome life. Everything changed in sixth grade. I'm a very awkward kid, and it was hard for me to fit in. I finally had a group of friends who all liked what I liked. One difference though, they aren't supports of the LGBT communitie. They made disgusting jokes about gay people. It was painful. Not only did they make jokes about sexuality, they joked about my weight. I'm significantly bigger than the rest of my group. This caused mean words AND actions.I was also having a hard time at home. My parents yelled at me about my grades. My realitives were not as close as before. I found myself crying alot.I learned to just pretend to be happy. I gradually found myself happier. whenever someone says a mean or rude comment, I brush it off with a smile. I've also realized how far away from life I really am. Like, if someone gets injured I don't really care. If someone leaves me, I adapt quickly, so its weird DX Edit: woahhh it’s been a year since I’ve posted this comment- I’m really thankful for all the replies you are all so sweet here have some kisses. muah muah. I love this song, it makes me think of myself. But I'm not depressed to the point that nothing matters. I just don't know what to do anymore, constantly loosing interest, making jokes to cover it up, even trying to leave clues for someone to help. I even told my closest friends and they just laughed thinking I was joking. I built a prison of laughter for myself. This song is actually one of the truest things I’ve ever heard. Im constantly pretending to be happy. And honestly, it’s a lot. My “life” after grade 4, has been a living hell... My old friends abandoned me... and the few I have left, Act like they’re bored of me. My parents NEVER seem happy, and school work is just getting harder, and harder.. AND. On top of that, a few days ago, my dad tried killing himself... And what? Teachers expect us to stay up hours on end, to get a good grade? Or to pass some test? And of course, there are good, welcoming teachers out there, but. ((Most)) of the community, at school, don’t care about our health. [[Mental, or physical.]] They, make us sit in these plastic seats, for hours. Numbing us with topics, we may NEVER even consider in our actual lives. The current System is f*cked up man.. and I know, I speak for more than just my self. People need to start considering how the students feel. Sure, the teachers may be having a rough day with classes, or a few more people are going through things on the news. But, how do you think the students feel?? How do you think WE feel, when so much stress is practically dropped on our heads. How do you think WE feel, when we have SO much going on, it’s unbearable? How do you think it feels when we have dealt with a ton at home already, and we HAVE to get a dumb, long, Quiz, done, and it’s almost the dead-line?? How. Do. You. Think. We. Feel? We sit here, listening to your un-needed topics, for HOURS. Thinking about, everything going wrong, trying to stay positive and numb our pain. People call this living? Because, it’s that’s living, then we must have VERY different views on what that word means. Because that. Right, there. Is NOT. living.

When I was in public school my ‘friends’ cut and wanted to die and were depressed and I hated it because my life at home is already filled with that so it was just killing me every day but I had to push through it and considering I was depressed last year did not help whatsoever

Love it soo much 💜 Me being the quite "genius" is kinda hard. Everybody expects you give 110% at everything but they don't know that you're silently breaking inside. I don't have time for sleep since I use that time to rethink life and listen to music. I was going though some depressive thoughts a few months back but I've learnt to embrace the fact that most people don't fit in. We're different. And the others will never understand what it's like to be different from the rest. You just have to embrace it and learn to cherish the beautiful things in life. I would've ended my life a long time ago but i couldn't bring myself to do it.. There's people that just won't be the same anymore without you alive - your family and of course your friends, classmates. It may not seem like it but people care about you. You're loved. Remember that.

Yeah this actually describes me. I've been left alone not physically but emotionally and I thought that I could fight it as a kid from freaking 1st grade but now. I've lost almost everything my friends cause they don't talk to me anymore and act like I'm just some piece of trash, my family always bullies me, my best friend that doesn't give shit anymore. And I've been bullied since I changed to this new school when I was 6 years-old. I've tried to talk to someone about this countless times but it never changes, I've tried defending or act but nothing changes and I've also tried to just ignore them or let it slide but I can't. As for my family I'm going through lot worse cause they are always fighting and my cousins bully me every time they can. Not even my best friend talks to me anymore. I've been faking smiles, doing little acts of happiness every day for them to not worry cause they don't even care about it even though we're the same age and are in the same place. When I was 12 I started not caring about everything in general. Anyways when it brings to feelings in general I don't really feel anything close to "love", "joy", "hope", or something like that I don't really feel sad or angry. I just feel numb...... btw though I just wanted to put this up because I felt I needed to tell someone even though I know everyone can see it and just see what happens

I wanna share my story- So i was a child,around 4-6 years old. I was happy because my father accept who i am. He always support me no matter what. Until i was on the 4th grade,i changed my school. On that moment,my father changed a lot,I mean *A LOT* .Hes starting to mad at me.Because im good at art. Im not that good at math,etc. Which my dad start to complain about that.Until at my 5th grade,im starting to know a fake smile,so i faked my smile. My dad still mad at me that im not perfect as my friends do. In my mind,i couldn't think positive anymore. I feel like i want to kill myself. But then i realized that many people need me. Im still suffering tho rn :D

People think I’m great because I have amazing grades, but I’m miserable. I’m emotionally abused, bullied, and constantly pressured. When my friends left for the 4th grade onward, everything fell apart. I lost the happy, silly person I was. Over the 2 years since this happened, it’s gotten to the point of physical self harm. Sometimes to relieve stress I used to repeatedly graze my skin with a knife. A lot has changed since then. I don’t do it anymore.

I’m reminiscing. One of the first songs that got me into music but especially nightcore. I didn’t feel sad back then but now I know the troubles of a teenager, the meaning of how “all the kids are depressed”. Yeah last year I had breakdowns because of stress, only to realise what this year would bring. You might think this is strange but before we had quarantine, I cared about people, I felt the need for them. However as a week turned into a month, into a whole couple months, I realised, I don’t really mind being alone, people will forget about you overtime. That’s the cycle of relationships with people you love, hate and are mutual with.
