If IMDB is correct and remember that site is really easy to edit then Fortunate Son has been used a total of forty five times so far in movies, tv shows and video games.
What gets me is how pointless that conflict proved to both sides. The only thing the Vietnamese got out of it was reuniting. It sure didn't win the ideology fight, cause communism did prove to be a failure and the fact they ended up doing most of what the US said they should be doing economically. An the US failed to live up to its founding principle that the people should ultimately decide what road they take.
