For those German-speaking people out there: perhaps you could help me out finishing up the captions and fixing spelling/grammar errors that I (most probably) have made. Did the best I could, but yeah, my German isn't the best, so that's why I need your help ;)
0:00Oh-oh ó-oh-oh! 0:03*It's time you grew up and quit acting like a baby* 0:06Acht Uhr morgens, jeden Tag immer das selbe Schema, 0:09Hab keinen Bock, keine Lust auf dieses eine Thema 0:11Verlass das Haus, lass die Korken knallen, Flaschen sind da, 0:14Ich leer den Whisky und ich becher den Wein 0:17Man ist nur einmal jung, 0:18Und das war sowieso dumm, 0:19Sich nicht hier einfach gehen zu lassen 0:21Man ist nur einmal jung! 0:22Legenden sterben jung, 0:24Und es gibt heut kein Warum, 0:25Niemand soll diese Nacht verpassen 0:28*The prince has asked for your reply * Corrected (version 2 - forgot to correct the second line at first). The rest I'll do maybe tomorrow.
Thanks for the fixes so far! :) Would've never guessed it was "leer". Tried 'lehr', which did not seem to make much sense. Sadly Google did not guide me to "leer", haha ;) Not entirely sure about "The prince has asked for your reply". Perhaps other people can confirm it/suggest other possibilities.
0:07 "Acht Uhr morgens, jeden *Tag* immer das selbe Schema [...]" 0:15 "Ich leer den *Whisky und* ich becher den Wein." 1:24 "Zwei Uhr *morgens*, [I have no idea what she's singing here], keine Dilemma. Hab diesen *Durst* [...]" 1:32 (In addition to BesenTV) "Verlass die *Bar*, *lass* die Gläser fallen [...]" In the refrain, "jung" is always spelled with a small j as it's an adjective, also "und *es* war sowieso dumm, [... ]" As far as grammar goes, you wouldn't spell a word after a comma with a capital letter (unless it's a noun) and you also wouldn't put a comma before "und". Someone in the comments filled the missing part at 1:24 with "es ist voll in hier", which is the same thing I understand when I hear the song, but I don't think that's what she's actually singing beacuse "in hier" is a word-by-word translation from "in here" and something you would never say in german ("hier drin" would be the correct translation).
Everyone, thank you for helping me out! Flowergirl Hanne, Julian G., Apfel Baum (sounds legit xD), Toaster Girl and BesenTV, thanks for providing me with all the missing bits and pieces of the lyrics and for fixing the mistakes I made. I think the German captions are near perfect now :) I also added English captions! Apfel Baum was so friendly to invest some time putting that together as well. I added some modifications, and I think those captions are pretty good now as well. So, happy listening for those who had no idea what the song actually said. Now you know ;)
I would like to make a toast for all you guys. Both Maikel, and all you guys who helped. Cuz i absolutely love this song, more so now that i know whats being said.
It is nice to see that you have a helpful community who want to help you. You really are one of the few that has inspired me few years ago with Nightcore. Also, if I'm doing only German Nightcore, I want to thank you. 😊 Best regards, Nika
***** That's nice. :D I myself have already helped many other people to Nightcore without straining myself. For I am probably the most popular when it comes to German Nightcore. :) (As far as I know.)
Fantastic song and finally a text in my mother tongue! Love it! ♫
Here is a complete English translation, as requested. It's mostly a line-by-line translation so feel free to iterate upon it. If some words don't sound quite right in the given context, I might tell you that they also do not in German. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Eight a.m., every day always the same scheme, I'm not up for, can't be bothered with that one theme. Leave the house, pop the corks, bottles are here, I empty the whisky and I booze the wine. You're only once young and it was dumb anyway, to not just let oneself go. Legends die young and there's no why today, nobody should miss this night. You're only once, only once young. You're only once, only once young. You're only once young and it was dumb anyway, to not just let oneself go. Legends die young and there's no why today, nobody should miss this night. Two a.m., [I have no idea what she's singing here], no dilemma, I have this thirst, this lust for those handsome men. Leave the bar, drop the glasses, the bass is here, I feel the whisky and I don't leave it be. What you still do in bed, come with me, get up now, leave the house with me. What you still do in bed, come with me, get up now, leave the house with me. You're only once young and it was dumb anyway, to not just let oneself go. Legends die young and there's no why today, nobody should miss this night. You're only once young and it was dumb anyway, to not just let oneself go. Legends die young and there's no why today, nobody should miss this night. What you still do in bed, come with me, get up now, leave the house with me. Nobody should miss this night.
Very good except no native English speaker would say "only once young". They would say "only young once". The way you interpreted it introduces absurdities that I don't feel like getting in to on a RU-vid comment thread. Still the best translation I've seen so far.
I just see there are more things missing and wrong. Who wrote those subs? I can help you with them because I'm German but not now I have to go sleeping.
Well, they are mine, of course! In the description it is mentioned that I need help with some spots I was unable to transcribe. Hence the missing parts/bad German.
@@yukioh7637 Hey hey hey, ich habe nie gesagt womit, und ein wenig alkohol und party hat noch niemandem geschadet. :) Naja, vielleicht dem einen oder anderen, aber du musst das größere bild in betracht ziehen. ;)
