aughh, let's all just appreciate melanie. she is *SO* good at singing, her vocal expressions really go with the lyrics, it has a really nice flow, ignoring how depressing it is, honestly she is a *QUEEN*
That umbrella can actually shoot, like a shotgun. They’re from an anime called Gintama. And no, the fanart isn’t related to the song. It’s about someone being lured by ice cream and kidnapped by a white van. Pretty sure Kagura would just blow the kidnappers away tho 😆
It's good that someone actually wrote a song about the issue of kidnapping. People just ignore it, and act like it doesn't happen. What u should really do is be happy if it hasn't happened 2 u ,pray it never does, and help people who it has happened 2.
my sister said this is a cute love song~ and i stared at her and yelled THIS IS NOT CUTE OR A LOVE SONG WTF?!?! no offense good job with the song though
@Naomi Calderon "Took the words right out my mouth" is an expression meaning to anticipate what someone is about to say; also, completely agree with someone. The kidnapper knows they're crazy, They just don't care. BOOM! Advantages of being someone who loves writing and english. Lol. But seriously, that is what it means.

When I first heard this, I thought it said “Bang! It’s in.” My sister always looked at me like “THATS NOT THE LYRICS!” Then I looked the lyrics up and I was like “Oh shit🤦🏻♀️”.
My best friend: *shows me this song* Me: *listens to the beat, not really paying attention to lyrics* Nice. What is this about, exactly? My best friend: Someone getting kidnapped Me:.............. Me: Cool!
@Mabel Pines ah my apologies other people interpreted things differently. I interpreted it that way. Nice to know she wasn't thinking about that when writing the song. XD
"Little bit of poison in me" (Refers to the drugs used to numb her) "I can taste your skin in my teeth" (Refers to her trying to defend herself by biting her assaulter) "Am I hidden underground?" (She's locked down in a basement) "Your mama said to pick the very best girl, and I am" (Refers to how innocent and pure and easier to manipulate a little girl is contrarily of an adult woman)
On holiday when I was walking home from a dinner with my family. A bunch of men in this white car pulled over infront of me as I was about to cross the road. They rolled down the window and started speaking to me in another language. I got freaked out and i ran back to my family since I was ahead of them. Another time I was in Greg's with my nan and when she was ordering, two men walked up to me and started talking to me. They eventually left when they saw me clench my fist and glare at them
@@morgan_jai please stay safe and make sure there are always other people around. And if you are actually attacked, don't call for help, instead scream 'fire'. Nowadays many people don't actually react anymore if someone calls for help because they themselves aren't in danger. But a fire is a potential risk for everyone so naturally they look what's going on. At least that's what my father and my self defense teacher taught me. ^^
Looking at me through your window Boy, you had your eye out for a little "I'll cut you up and make you dinner You've reached the end, you are the winner" Rolling down your tinted window Driving next to me real slow, he said "Let me take you for a joyride I've got some candy for you inside" Running through the parking lot He chased me and he wouldn't stop Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it Grabbed my hand, pushed me down Took the words right out my mouth Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it Can anybody hear me I'm hidden under ground Can anybody hear me am I talking to myself Saying, "tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it" He's saying, "tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it" Little bit of poison in me I can taste your skin in my teeth "I love it when I hear you breathing I hope to god you're never leaving" Running through the parking lot He chased me and he wouldn't stop Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it Grabbed my hand, pushed me down Took the words right out my mouthf Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it Can anybody hear me I'm hidden under ground Can anybody hear me am I talking to myself Saying, "tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it" He's saying, "tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it" Eenie meenie miny mo Get your lady by her toes If she screams, don't let her go Eenie meenie miny mo Your mother said to pick the very best girl And I am Running through the parking lot He chased me and he wouldn't stop Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it Grabbed my hand, pushed me down Took the words right out my mouth Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it Running through the parking lot He chased me and he wouldn't stop Tag, you're it, tag, you're it Grabbed my hand, pushed me down Took the words right out my mouth Tag, you're it, tag, tag, you're it
OMG this is so amazing, I hate how people (not everyone but some people) say that it’s about a wolf in an ice cream truck, like bruh... there’s an actual meaning behind it, and not just this song but every other song... Like if your a crybaby, an actual legit cry baby ❤️❤️❤️
Kidnapping and rape is what the song gives me vibes of... *C r e e p y* But to be honest, Melanie Martinez is a good artist with creative *(and descriptive)* lyrics. I enjoy Tag, You're It and nightcore as well, so this is a 100000/10 for me. Keep up the good nightcore!
me:tag your it * pushies brothers friend* bro's friend and my bro : what did you fuching do that for me : i was just playing with you two* saying in a cute face* bro's friend : awww how can i ever get mad at her bro: you srsly have fallen for her cute face what will i do with my sis
I searched for this song but I didn’t expect my No. 1 ship to be the thumbnail! My OkiKagu fangirl side~ If anyone wants to know, the guy on the pic is Okita Sogo and the girl is Kagura.Love you two
While I was looking at the picture I noticed that the characters in this picture are Okita and Kagura from Gintama. If you have seen this anime you'll understand why the girl is holding umbrella and the boy is holding a Samurai sword.
As you see from this picture: The umbrella is a very dangerous weapon. It's stronger than the katana meaning the girl would successfully win. But what she doesn't know is that she'll be dead as well because the katana is sharp as hell.
This song is messed up beyond words. I'm going to make this vague since I don't want to scare people, but it's about a kidnapper/Um you can look that part up, but anyway, Took the words right out of my mouth is suggesting that the man gagged her. And I can feel your skin in my teeth refers to the girl/lady, trying to bite to man, failing. Yeah, messed up right? Look it up for the full definition, which is worse...
But when you think about it, you need to give Melanie credit for talking about heavy topics. Many artists would stay away, afraid. But she took initiative and told the world she wasn't afraid.
It sounds to me like the story is... (And this is just my interpretation) A girl was walking home, maybe after a party. She was all alone, and it was just turning dark out. She felt uneasy, a strange paranoia filling her chest. She glanced around. A white van was driving next to her, keeping her pace. She started walking a little bit faster, and the van followed suite. The tinted window of the van was rolled down, revealing a man's face. "Hello there, girlie. Do you need a ride home?" The girl shook her head desperately, glancing around for some means of escape from this strange man. The door of the van opened, and the man stepped out. "C'mon. Let me take you for a joyride." The girl stammered out a quiet, "No, thanks." But the man grabbed for her shoulder. She ducked out of his way and ran for the parking lot of an apartment building nearby, where maybe someone would help her. She ran and ran, the man nearly catching her multiple times. Finally, she made it to the parking lot. She was panting, sweat pouring down her forehead, yet the man wasn't even winded. He grabbed her wrist and pushed her to the ground. A scream escaped her lips before the man clapped his hands over her mouth. Her eyes widened. She bit down as hard as she could on his hand, but he only grinned more. "Hah!" She started crying, tears running off her face and into her hair. The man pulled her up off the ground, and wrapped his arm around her, guiding her to the van. His hand was still on her mouth so screaming was useless. He opened the back of the van and tossed her inside carelessly. The van closed, shutting of the light from outside. The girl screamed, kicking the inside of the van as the engine started. She could feel the van moving. She sobbed.
