On 6th of May, 1527, 15 000 mutinous mercenaries assaulted and sacked city of Rome that was left relatively poorly defended as people considered nobody would dare defile the seat of Papacy. Swiss Guards fought against overwhelming odds to allow Pope to safely flee. 42 guardsmen escorting Pope survived, rest were killed as they fought to the last man.
They went really mutinous they were more told they weren't getting paid and to fack off by the Holy Roman Emperor, so they went to sack the poorly defended Rome as they thought it would be rich but repeated sacking left the city with little wealth.
189 vs thousands. And they fought off those mercenaries long enough for the 42 guarding the Pope to take him to a castle for safety. That's the kind of stunt that earns men glory.
@@veronika2403 Maybe use your ears, or, if you need some help, this about the Swiss Guard, who DEFENDED the POPE himself against those who would KILL HIM back in the day before you were born, and the pope, even to this day, lives in The VATICAN. No bad blood meant, in all honesty, but that is basically the case and the point, Nightcore'd or not.
Well, don't get me wrong, I like Crusades memes (I covered both my Crusaders in War Thunder with crosses), but I see it everywhere, people thinking this is about the Crusades
Yousef Sandoval No... you’re ruining Joakim’s voice. He didn’t make these songs with Sabaton to have them sped up by childish weebs! He made them for the rough and tough men! To listen to as they invade Jerusalem!
@@Yoko_Grim he made them so people would learn the history of war and to respect and celebrate those who died doing their duty. he gives no shits who listens to it only that their story is heard and the memory of their deeds will not be forgotten
Idk why but this song instantly makes me think of playing breach in for honor with the whole team playing knights as defense, srsly no clue why but it does
The key change when the chorus repeats makes this sound almost like one of those christian rock songs people sing at church retreats. In fact, if you replaced all the historical references with generic christian slogans and catchwords you would literally turn it into exactly that
Man don`t get me bad,its really good job man,im facinated but still sabaton is not a good material for this kind of stuff, but at last its the best sabaton nightcore ,after that said go on do more and be as good as you are now or get even better :D
I think it is because of the more 'pumped up' rythm that makes one feel like they are in the middle of the 'action' of the song, thus 'motivating/inspiring oneself in the back of one's mind. ...Also, damn those 'deus vult' comments! If 'God Wills It' so much, why not just get a damn ROOM for themselves and their damn God, marked 'Fanatics Only??! ...Sorry on beforehand, wrote this while quite tipsy.
Makes you wonder how badass they would be now. That kind of skill has only been copied a few times in mankind's history. They would make all modern day training look very bad.
sure, desu but does anyone here know what the song really is about? there is not a single word about crusades or some shit like that - and during the crusades thousands and thousands of crusaders died not even in battle ^^
If you want who is this knight, you have to watch Sword Art Online : Alicization It’s the third season, but you don’t have to watch everything, I startes with this one and I am watching now the other seasons
Well it might sound ridiculous but I used to listen to this song before my national competitive exams for engineering schools. I was entering in the exam room like I was getting on a ring or was ready to take Jerusalem back. Well at least a succeded quite well
