Lol as a grounds keepper who had to weed and clip roses. Her thorns are the reason I can't pull all her weeds without getting ripped all to shreds and said scratches have left scars all over my arms. Though I guess you can say people who are betrayed and are unable to move on will hurt and scar those who want to help them the most.

Holy shit, this is really good! Damn, Rosendale is a great storyteller, I love it, so clever! What an interesting just-so story he created, roses having thorns because they were once betrayed and taken advantage of by daisies. The word "daisy" comes from "day's eye", or so I've heard, probably because of its yellow center that looks like the sun. Edit: According to one source, the origin of the name comes from the way daisies bloom in the morning and track the sun, and then at night or in rainy weather they close up their petals.

(This is a vent texted and how I felt and somewhat close to this song...) as for this song reminds me of a relationship I've had with a guy who was turning toxic let's u call him "famous" like Ur cool kid in the school who wasn't so cool and because he was turning toxic to me I broke up with him because it didn't end well as he made me do things I dint want to as well as trying to forced me to choses which things I should do wear or not wear and so much more but because I've meet him I created friends and as well and I've made my first friend in my whole life and so many other friends as I was always bullied in the past for being who I was how I looked and on top of that in the past I was abused physically and mentally as well as I have suffered a lot more. all I wanted was to show my friends what my ex did to warn them and show the truth but because of this my now toxic ex realized I said such things he started to get angry so he used an excuses of one mistake I did and I do want to tell you I was a very big people pleaser so when I was with him I've only lied to him once to Mack him happy as anyone who wouldn't want their boyfriends to be happy and i do want to tell u I'm a huge people pleaser and i always hated lying and I've always tried to tell the truth 95 percent of the time. while my ex made a million mistakes and as well as talking shit about me behind my back. Mocking my depression, my past and my personal feelings along with my respect. as well as he filled his mouth with so many lies to try to control and manipulate people to for him to "Look good" as what I think as he did with me to look as if everything was ok on what he was doing to me. And because of this I've lost my first best friend because of him because I was trying to tell the truth and warn people and I feel like almost all of my friends have believed into his lies and his toxic behavior and his manipulation have caught my friends with his lies of attention but luckily, I still have a few friends who believe in me like 4 people which I've been friends with them for a very long time as close to the time I had my best friend. and now I feel like my friends who were manipulated by my ex Macks me sad but what my ex did was quite cruel. But I know life isn't fair and justice isn't sometimes severed to the people who just want to hide the absolute truth of what happened and just talk so much more lies then before to yet again "Look good". and I'll be straight forward I feel like I dint deserve any of it even when I was an extrema people pleaser, I dint deserve to hear him say so many horrible things of making fun of my depression, anxiety my past and the thing I do or even what I want to wear. I don't ever want to listen to him again as I feel like I hated my past self for not getting out sooner from him. and even still I'm trying to escape this void of my depression, anxiety and the pain. I am glad that I broke up with him either way and I can understand fully what this song means and maybe even feel a little on how she felt about everything. And I do want to remind everyone that bad things that happen to you that seems unfair. The people who hurt u cannot escape their bad karma they have done to you or just in anyone else. Sooner or later, they would get what they deserve weather it tacks a long time or till the day they die...
