People visit to drive the ring road and see the scenery. The bars are to socialize with the locals and to get to know the culture. You don’t actually think anyone flies to a country just to visir a bar? Come on now 😂

This video must have been taken in March or April, because i noticed it was dark out there at 2 in the morning. Get to the end of May, through June July and August, the visibility at night will be roughly the same as 11 in the evening. In MID-summer it never got dark. I was there for 18 months.
In 1965 I was brought to Iceland by Good Samaritans , They brought me out of harms way, We were on the Trawler Ardbaker out of Akerery , The other Trawler with us Sletbaker got chased away . Those two Captains risked there Ships and crew for a no body, Me ! . All I can do is Thank the Good Folk of Akarery.
Iceland has ALWAYS been expensive by virtue of being a remote island that has to import almost everything (other than food and energy). On the flip side: We Icelanders travel to low-income areas like Spain, Greece, Italy and the US - places where everything is CHEAP! Everything is relative...
This video is quite lacking , The icelandic people usually go downtown around 1 or 2 am and party till 4 , You will see people still drinking in the streets till 5 on a regular weekend but the bars close by law at 4 unless there is new years or some holiday. We like to drink alot , drug abuse is a very common thing and you´ll find violence downtown even though we´re advertised as this crime free utopia but the murder rate in iceland is almost no existant. Icelandic people drink to get shit faced and then drink some more we have this binge drinking culture. The weed here is quite good and our mushrooms are aswell. Speed and cocaine is very weak compared to i´d say england and probably most places but since we grow our own weed and the mushrooms come from nature those are nice. For places to check out Hressó is like the mainstream danceclub with a place you can smoke inside which is the very hard to find in iceland , Paloma is where you´d go for house music and just being fucked out of your mind and without people freaking out , Gaukurinn is really good as well , Dillon is a rock back that´s really good aswell , There´s b5 which is probably one of the few party bars with a dress code and has a young age group , It´s pretensious but each is their own. Kíký is the only gay bar in iceland so it has all sorts and mostly attracts straight chicks and gay people since it´s not over the top gay just like Jolly music and nice people , There´s kaffibarinn for more house music and yeah. I don´t think the nightlife here is all that much but it is very icelandic. EVERYBODY here speaks english as a second language. Yeah and the chicks go out to get laid but you still need game.
Duh. Of course we have violence like every single country on this planet 🙄 We just have way WAY less of it because of our tiny populations, statistically we are bound to have less violence, so yeah.. To some it may be a utopia. And murder rate and crime rate is statistically very low so what are you on about? And you can speak for yourself. I drink like once every 3 months and haven’t gone to a single pub and know lots of people that don’t get shitfaced every weekend lol. You seem to know your way around all the pubs and bar and you seem to know a lot about drugs so maybe that’s a you problem and maybe that’s the kind of crowd you hang out with but speak for yourself my guy.

Anyways no, lots of strongmen here, lots of fitness enthusiasts and just lots of fit and buff guys in general. Look up Giants of Iceland on yt. Also look up Mjölnir and IcelandicFitness. The girls here are very fit too.
