Unfortunately the poor, as always, have no real political power. They’re considered by many to be disposable who choose to be poor because they’re lazy or stupid. Same goes for the homeless. While we as a nation could choose to make their life’s better but they don’t fit well in a capitalist economic model. You can’t pull yourself up with your bootstraps if you don’t have access to them. They do fulfill a purpose by doing jobs that others don’t want to do but we don’t value them as being productive in our society. It’s not going to change without a change in our nations mindset and if anything our nation is moving towards one is more themselves than the overall society.

@@alvieroach1368 - I don't know if someone ever gets 'use' to tornado's, but unlike earthquakes, with a tornado you have a better chance of at least a little warning that they are coming. Having lived in both California and Oklahoma, I've experienced both tornado's and earthquakes and I will take an earthquake over a tornado every time.

The IDF has been using AI software that makes allowances for civilian casualties based on the "ranking" of the Hamas operative. The higher the rank the more civilian casualties that are considered allowable. This further underscores the value the government and IDF places on human life particularly given that more than two thirds of the confirmed deaths have been women and children.

Plug in hybrids are likely to hold their value better than a straight electric vehicle. As the car ages and the battery range decreases, you can still drive the car as a conventional gas-powered vehicle.

The Protestors who are protesting the war should go to GAZA and protest in Gaza against Hamas and demand for Hamas to release the hostages. The protests should be banned in the universities for issues concerning other countries issues. The Universities have no influence on the outcome of the war. The protests are ridiculous. Do they no know what the Islamists think about the US? Have these US Protestors go to the middle east and see if they will be supported. You already know the outcome of that.

I know a number of people who have bought used electric cars and they have becoming money pit’s. It’s not just batteries. Sensors as well as body panels fail and they’re very expensive to fix if you don’t have a warranty. You can’t get replacement parts at your local auto parts store so there’s no way to repair them outside of the authorized manufacturer repair facility.
