THE CMK Boi, he's talking about the screaming parts, not the breakdown after the solo, those are back ups, he's talking about the lead vocals Matt screams on the record...
THE CMK but Rev didn't sing the screaming parts Johnny does, he did the backups like "Die" when Matt says "Die Again", Rev didn't do the "Piece of mind is less than ever" (or whatever he says"
Brooks Wackerman is one of the best thing that A7x is ever blessed to get since the death of REV (miss him a lot though 😪😪) Hails #A7x for life /m\....😎😎😎
Omg I heart Avenged Sevenfold so much more after hearing this song live. Thank you for giving me such an excellent concert! Looking forward to seeing all of you next year!!!!!!!!!!
It's been so long since I listened to Avenged, almost 1 year of not listening to them after listening to them for 3 years. During that 1 year gap I've been listening to a lot of Periphery, and it's so nice to take a break from the intense technicality of Periphery.
Metallica wouldn't even be here if it weren't for lars...Brooks is awesome and a good addition to Avenged. But he's just an addition. Lars is a guy all these dudes look up to. Even if he's not technical..
You know, at first I disliked the current state of matt's vocal chords. However, it seems as though that as time progresses since their latest album, his new style is really gaining substance. I felt like at first, it sounded like he was really straining to hit those high notes as he seems to be singing everything like up an octave or something. But now, his new style seems to have begun to mature and started to gain the necessary grit and substance to fit their new sound. It's not quite there but you can definitely hear it and this makes me even more excited for what the future holds for these guys.
Based Wizard nowadays he can hit notes he could never hit live before. listen to so far away live 2017. he can hit all the high notes he couldn't hit in 2010 without straining himself. I found over the years his voice has gotten more of a range. being able to keep the lows while hitting insane highs.
02:01 I really love when he suddenly throw the stick! Since bad religion, for who didnt know put on yt "Brooks L.A. is burning" at 00:50...during the chorus he show this spetacular technique on bell and the throwing sticks
Brooks a great drummer but I feel the smaller drum sizes lack the heavy beefiness that bigger drums produce for their songs and would benefit their sound better with bigger drum.
Well when you're Chad wackerman son you're gonna be a bad-ass drummer. Listen to Brooks stuff when he was 18 or 19 with infectious grooves, groove family cyco and the next album boracho( I believe boracho also has 1 songs played by Mr. Josh freese as well). Josh freese play drums on suicidal tendencies art of rebellion album.... incredible drumming!!! And of course Josh freese was on the 1st perfect circle album Mer de Noms, great material. I believe Tim Alexander(one of my biggest influences, Primus sucks)plays the drum parts on track 1, on Fer de Noms. But the rest is Freese.
Too bad Brooks didn't have a hand in writing the drums on this album. The drums on this album sound very flat and generic, but they had an old man sit-in and play the drums. I, as a basement hobbyist drummer, came up with better drums than what you hear in this song. What a disappointment after what the Rev gave us. Brooks is awesome; too bad AX7 didn't get him immediately after the Rev's passing. I love this song, but the original drum track is cringe-worthy.
I see what you mean but I personally think he's playing fits very much. I think Portnoy is great but he was a drummer that didn't fit a7x, he just had the thecnique but Brooks have great technique and groove and makes awesome drum parts for a7x. I think he enjoys being a part of them:)
A7X will never be on Metallica's level ever! And Syn might be a good guitar player but he is a horrible showman. You would think that he was a fan of the great DIME that he would up his game!
How is he a horrible showman? You have to remember on this tour their performance is more reserved, because they are playing to Metallica. Normally they perform more. Syn is a far greater guitarist than Kirk, and Brooks is easily 100x better than that sorry ass excuse for a drummer Lars.
Metalhead Sneakerhead I have seen them three times now! I thought this would be better considering it was such a big stage! And I wasn't saying anything about his playing skills he can play guitar. Since one of his bigger influences was Dimebag who was a amazing showman! That he would up his game is all. There are very few videos of any Pantera show where Dime just stands around. Rather they opened or was the headliner. And also not saying he needs to be Dime he never will be. But if he was that big a influence on him that he wouldn't just walk around on stage like he's lost.
Well I love both bands but I have to say I like A7x's songwriting more but thats just opinion. Im not one of those stupid Lars haters, I do respect him(Cause Metallica wouldn't be Metallica without him) and he is a decent drummer but Brooks is jus 100 times better. And like the guy above mentioned, they keep it down a little as they are an opening act now
