I watch every video you put out. Been a car guy all my life. All American makes. Partial to gm but not die hard. I will say I have gravitated towards ls based or newer Chevy stuff in the last 4 years and I absolutely love the simplicity of it. Of course the old stuff was very simple too but nowhere near the reliability. Dan go to Princess auto and pick up a few metric packs. For under $100 you can have every tool needed to do the “hated” metric stuff. Of course it’s HarborFreight in Illinois where I’m from but spent some time in Canada this year and had a great time!!!!! Keep up the hard work. Hope to see you in your dream shop/ property!!

Dan you're suffering from car detachment anxiety! But don't worry you'll be fine because you're dealing with it the right way. The best way to relieve the anxiety is to just get under another one. It's a lot like getting over an ex girlfriend. You'll be fine!👍

Dan, look for open land and build a large steel building. Keep at least one bay door at 14 foot for future use. On another channel a guy built 10 dubble deep bays for around $100,000 US.. Install your plumbing for future use and park a used fifth wheel in one bay as your home. 👍👍

I am a fan of your show. I found it a year or more ago. I bought a 57 chevy about 4 years ago, and I have learned things from your work on Tri-Fives. Your show has developed into many makes and models of cars. I would like to make a suggestion about how how your show could move into the future. We all know that for many years now, the new cars are so computer driven, an average guy (or gal) who has a basic set of tools can't do the average repairs it takes to keep their car operational. I think you could teach us how to take a classic car, and make a driveable, maintainable, enjoyable car, for a reasonable cost. Save the Classics!

I've had better luck welding cast iron by preheating it with a torch before hand. But either way, you're crushing it with these cars and making it happen big time!

I was watching Gnarly speed shops new video and she said she was selling her 56 because it needed to much rust repair,I thought Dan would have all the panels replaced in a week no problem!You gotta keep the 56,you need a replacement winter tri five driver.

Coming together, hope it pops off easy in the next video. I dont have easy access to napa so they are a no go. Auto value, im hooked up with 24/7 access to order parts online, then just stop in and grab my parts. Or get delivery if i ask nicely.

This may sound a bit silly but what about the 235 and the Power glide? The engine by itself is worthless. It does have worth if it makes a car run and yard drive. The Ls and the Holley Dominator are worth money by themselves. You can sell separately or include with the car for an extra fee.

Just keep telling yourself...fifty sixes are parts cars. You will be selling it in no time.😂

Its good to hear Dr. Pepper is number two ahead of Pepsi. Exhaust manifold studs,...yeah, I worked as an auto mechanic for awhile, usually in small shops,...amazing how many times I was tasked with this sort of job,...the studs from years of heat and rust seemed to bust at least one no matter how much rust buster/torch heat,...then unluckily the drilling out, retapping and re-stud if vice grips couldn't get enough to grab onto,...unsure if flat rate compensated me for that, probably didn't....amazing how many tune ups came in and johnny back yard mechanic stripped out/damaged his own spark plug hole/s,..got good with the heli coil repair scenario too. There's such a shortage of mechanics these days, ....in the usa at least, I mean, I could work as a mechanic technician if I had to, at my late fifties age,....haha, maybe, dunno.

This is a really cool car. But so are a lot of the cars you sold. I like 55 more, too, but the 56 is growing on me. I like this one. I like it more than your big block 55. Just cause ls is probably a little more user friendly and fuel efficient.

Always heat cast up till red hot, weld, wrap in weld blanket to cool

Custon as frig!

Get metric tools, they fit on American bolts too.

Sometimes heat cast-iron up before welding, just a suggestion
