Sunwing is a Tui company - it’s a well documented fact that fleets get moved according to needs. Sexist too about a lady pilot! Do you ever do anything other than complain??
So did you actually see the disabled people in wheelchairs waiting for their buses for over 2 1/2 hours on my video, and no I’m not sexist, and no I believe in equality.
What a negative person! I was waiting for something really bad to happen. I just see a normal trip at a busy time. I can say it's not representative of Tui to have no buses, I've been using them and similar budget companies for years. I suppose you got your vouchers so you must be a bit happier. You can start documenting minor problems with the hotel now to help out with your refund claim.
@@PatriciaDavies-ll5xj No vouches as yet, but when I get them, I will be donating them to a charity. Definitely no problems with the hotel or the rest of the holiday. Thank you for watching and subscribing 🙏😊👍
Ugh!!! Moan moan moan. Sometimes things don’t go to plan. It is what it is. Sure you’ve always got everything spot on every time. Blaming TUi for everything when half of it wasn’t their fault. Don’t think I’ll subscribe, so glum i don’t think my mental health could cope. Aside from the airport reps (would have been good to actually see how they treated you) I don’t see that TUi did anything wrong.
I’ve got to say, no, I didn’t. I’ve just rewatched the section when you were waiting for a coach, and no mention of them there. So, no I didn’t see them at all. Where in the video can I find it?
Ok, just saw a glimpse of a person in a wheelchair. Were they on your coach and in your hotel? On your flight? As you haven’t mentioned them at all on your video. So without this information, I stick by what I say. You say they waited 2 hours, then shortly at around 25 minutes you say you’d been there an hour and a half. I get it’s frustrating when you go on holiday and things don’t go right, but it’s wrong to blame TUi for it all. Issues at the airport are nothing to do with TUi. Only the airport reps you spoke to are actually employed by TUi. The rest are employed by Swissport.
I'll only fly with TUI, never had an issue with them flying out of Manchester & coach always been there waiting for us. There's always more than 1 TUI flight going out not just your own. The queue is normal as well boarding the plane as there's probably over 200 people getting on the flight, you just have to be patient im afraid
You blaming TUI when I see most of your problems it's with the airport staff not actually the airline itself and yes Sunwings it's part of the TUI group so if you a enthusiastic of aviation make sure you know your stuff instead of blaming the wrong companies/People...
We had the TUI app and it told us where our transport bus would be. Worked perfectly. Then coming home it told you what time it would pick you up and what other hotels they picked up from
"This is the last time I'll book with TUI" - probably proceeded to book and travel again for next year. Sounds like you gave the poor travel reps a hard time when they are trying to coordinate hundreds of people, can't be easy. Also EMA looked pretty organised to me - do you feel it's unreasonable for the check in agent to go on a break or go to the toilet? Also are you expecting them to announce people to board the plane one by one instead of queuing? That would take hours! Not sure what airlines you've been on before!
If this is your definition of a nightmare then you really don't get out of the house much. This holiday seems so bad, i bet you're sorry you didnt book to go to Rhodes
Flew with Sunwing from Liverpool to Palma a few years ago. Three year old 737, very clean plane service was great. TUI use handling Agents Swissport . The problems are with them not TUI
You are obviously not very well traveled! I have been flying internationally since 1968! I have flown with many carriers, in & out of many different airports in Europe, Canada & many parts of U.S.A. This was no different to most travel days! there are always queues, the only answer is to always fly 1st class & even then there are often queues for passport control! Best you spend your holidays at home if you get so flipping stressed & angry!
We went to lanzarote with tui, from the cabin crew to the reps in the airport, to the transfers, to the reps in the hotel, they couldnt help enough. Really good experience with tui.
Brilliant they normally are, I’ve flown all over the world with them and this was the first time I ever had a problem with them, I did see on tv that East Midlands airport is not being run very well at the moment and lots of complaints are being made due to staff shortages and rubbish pay, it’s such a shame, the hole experience of going on holiday starts at the airport adds to all the excitement of getting there. Thank you for your great comments and I hope you enjoy your holiday. Also thank you for watching the channel and supporting me. NeilR 😎🙏👍
firstly you did fly on a tui plane sunwing is owned by tui its the Canadian arm of tui there are 10 sunwing liveried planes doing the euro routes until the new planes arrive, secondly the staff in the airport are not tui staff so blaming tui for that is fruitless and thirdly blaming tui for the transfer again not tui its a 3rd party contractor the coach operator is likely to be trans-union or alsa
Totally agree with the last comment on here, I’ve had lots of holidays with Tui, and they have had things go wrong, but they are a very good holiday provider, from all the reviews you’ve put on about TUI, all seem to be slating Tui, you’ve had lots of Tui holidays and yet you still seem to be holidaying with Tui !!! I suggest you should try other holiday companies and i assure you you’ll be back, all the airports here are organised with the thousands of flights every single day, things go wrong in everyday life, everyday!! Stop moaning and book it all independently if you don’t want to go with a travel company, problem solved!!
Goodness me. The driver could have gone to the toilet, had to get petrol, parked in the wrong spot, had to get his bus cleaned because someone was ill, or got delayed in traffic. These (often low-paid) TUI reps have to cope with many flights coming in at once. It's also peak season. Package holidays are also fantastic value for what you get. I hope you enjoyed your holiday, but please give everyone a break. This isn't the UK.
I think you just have LOL. And no, because I live here. But I do know the reps are hard-working and do their best as do the bus drivers. Not sure exactly what you're asking from TUI. But hey good luck! @@neilrgreatestadventures
@@MallorcaUnderTheSun you pay for a stress free service and that’s what you should get, you go on holiday to have a good time, but if all starts of wrong at the start how would that make you feel. Do you think that the video was all made up for camera ! Because from position it was not at all. I haven’t done this for any compensation. My video was just show people the flight to Palma and how it could help, the same way that you also do your videos, you can not make something good out of a bad thing. Also I can not believe a RU-vidr like yourself are commenting on other RU-vidrs channels, I would not dream of pulling another RU-vidr down. Shame on you.
I booked to go tenerife with Tui before watching your video yesterday.. I've never had no problems.. infact, the jet2 queues have always looked longer everytime I've been. Unlucky tho mate hopefully the journey home will be better 🙏
Wow. if you want service like you say dont use budget airlines use Business class - budget airlines are a fraction proce wise of what flights costed 20 years ago. The Tui app gives you all the transfer info etc you need. frankly I pity the people youre on holiday with. Jeez......
I've been there, done that with both of these issues... To solve it, we never go to the gate when they announce it... Ryanair especially, hold you there at the gate for ages, we'll before the flight happens, even if they know it's delayed... In fact, I've noticed they open the gate even earlier if it's delayed sometimes... This is just because it's more convenient for them, not you!... So these days, we book a lounge, chill out and start walking down to the gate 15 minutes before the flight is due or when it says boarding, whichever is first.. We've also had the coach problem loads a times back in the day with multiple travel companies... So now, we always book a private taxi... I've never had one late and they're always waiting for you at departure... We also tend to book a resort close to the airport so that if it is late or doesn't turn up, we can just grab a local taxi or bus at the airport... Far less stressful and more efficient... It also means that we don't have to wait for all the drop-offs that you get on coach transfers like this too, which I hate!... All this costs more but it is a drop in the ocean compared to the amount we spend for the holiday... Doing it this way actually makes the whole travel day relaxing.
My wife had to go into hospital in Palma. We were on last day of holiday at Pollensa (50km away). This happened in the night and only went to a cliic, thought we would be going back to the hotel. Ambulance to the hospital. She had pneumonia and was there for a week. I phoned TUI (no rep in resort) and they didn't want to know. Said it's down to my insurance including the flight back to Manchester. Thank goodness for good insurance.
That’s not what you want to hear, when you’re on holiday, TUI are supposed to be there for you, that’s what you pay for customer service and support, I hope you’re wife is all ok now and this hasn’t put you off going abroad again. Thank you for your message and also for subscribing 😎🙏😊👍
They always prepare for boarding a lot earlier than necessary so that passengers are ready to board as soon as the incoming aircraft has arrived. Ryanair are famous for this!
It’s disappointing that tui didn’t have the bus ready like being outside hot and sweaty for like 2-3 hours waiting for a bus that never came so disappointed hope u had a good holiday tho (I’m late lolz)
Hi, when everything was sorted, we settled down and had an amazing holiday, the hotel was fantastic, the TUI reps were also fantastic couldn’t do enough for us, and also made some amazing friends, it was that good we are going back in June, and yes flying with TUI to see if anything has changed, hopefully this time will be plane sailing, and we should have a great journey. Thank you for your support and subscribing . NeilR 🙏👍😎
I had 2 poor experiences with Tui within the last couple of years. First one was to cancun, 2nd was going to Tenerife. Similar issues as yourself. Have since been away with Jet2 twice and will not be using Tui again. Check in was a breeze and so was the whole experience actually. All staff were great. Would definitely recommend jet2 over Tui
Hey love then channel always flew with tui from east mids never any problems always a 10/10 expirence you must of chose a day were the airport was on a down low 😂
Oh the comments lol. I do agree, you dont half whinge, but I still enjoyed the video lol. Im sat at work, just wishing I could swap places and be queuing in that TUI line to check in haha.
Hi Alec, we still loved the holiday that much we have booked to go back in June with TUI, and yes I will be filming to see if there’s any changes, (if they let me on the plane 🤣🤣) Thank you for your support and subscribing, NeilR 🩷😎🙏👍
That was fun to watch Neil and only because i absolutely detest the airport all and every airport 😂😂 it is a necessary evil if we want to travel . But it will be worth it once you get there .
You're said it was a nightmare flight? Contradictions I think? You said the flight was fine. It's the queuing you didn't like or waiting for a bus! Unfortunately this does happen, no matter what airline you fly with. I'm afriad you'll just have to suck it up and enjoy your holiday and your flight back! LOL!!
we flew with tui in July from ema to palma and had a good experience however i did book a taxi for arrival but got the bus back from cala bonna turned up dead on time sorry you seemed to have had a bad time of it .
Try Flying from Birmingham Airport, we arrived with our preprinted boarding passes, went to the do it your self check in machines with the help of TUI staff our luggage was registered and labeled up in seconds and all we did was drop t off at the luggage drop off and that was it done. The Sunwing planes are a Canadian subsidiary of TUI Airlines that were taken over 18 months ago when TUI took 49% of share in this Holiday Firm / Airline
Jet2 do a similar thing they have a partnership with air explore and they rent out aircraft to Jet2 during busy times of the year. We got notified that our plane was gonna be different like a day before flying out of east midlands on a normal jet 2 plane
Have you seen the kind of person who goes on these kind of holidays thank god I've never actually been on one or ever will be on one. Cheap holidays in other people's misery.
If You Really Hate Tui, Because The Plane Isn’t There’s Sunwing Is Just A Canadian Airline Trying To Get Shut Down By Westjet another Canadian carrier.
Budget airlines, did you expect first class service? I'd love your life as you've never seen things go wrong before, whilst me and everyone else knows it's just a part of life, and travel with a budget airline. PS they can't get "more staff" because a) the industry and pay sucks and they won't increase it, b) dealing with customers who think screaming at someone behind a desk will solve issues. If only those people had people turn up to their work, they won't like it.
Hi, Yep you’re right, but all ended well, we all had a great time, it was that good we have booked to go back in June, and I will be doing another vlog on the trip to see if it’s any better a year later. Thank you for subscribing and watching. NeilR 🙏👍😎
I have flown with what is now TUI over many years, going back to the early '90's when they were Air2000. Also I have been to PMI from BHX and overall have enjoyed the experiences, and must say that looking at the shops airside at EMA, they look better than BHX, so maybe one day I'll try to fly form there. As for you criticising the conditions at check in, yes, two staff at the desks could have been improved, but the moaning about the security check in and then the airport having no air con is out of TUI's hands, so complaining the HM Customs or the airport may get a response..I remember the times I have been to Majorca and yes, that is a big coach park there, but sometimes the adventure of hunting your coach seems to add to the holiday experience. The last time I flew with TUI was two years ago, flying from BHX to ZTH (Zakynthos, Greece). On the way out it was like yourself, on a 737-800. (The plane for your flight out is 8.4 years old). Modern, nice, but cramped. For the return flight, we were told at the last minute that TUI had not got any of its own fleet available, so we would fly back with a Spanish airline called Privilege Style, actually based at PMI, so dreading the change, we got to the airport and saw the plane. It was a 25 year old 757, but I did not care about its age, as I love the 757's, so this made my day. Spacious, comfortable and, as i was in Row 3 for the flight out, I was in Row 3 for the return...More foot space and "in front of the curtain". The only complaint I had with TUI for the Greek holiday was that there were no reps at the resort, and as I have been to Zante about eight times with them, this seemed a step back from what I would normally be used to there.
Hi Davem9208, So over the years I have also flown with TUI and before that they were Thompson and before that Britannia and never experienced any problems that needed to complain about, I can not blame any of the staff for the experience we had, it’s all down to management and money at the end of the day. In years gone by all employees could not do enough for you, but due to rubbish wages that’s paid at the moment you can not expect top class service, which is such a shame, these days. I feel so sorry for employees, things need to change and employees need to be more thought of and paid what they deserve. And then you would get employees giving 100% like the old days. Anyway l have booked the exact flights for next year to film to see if my flights with TUI are better or worse, so keep a lookout in 9 months time to see what happens. Thank you for taking time out to message me, I really appreciate reading what experience others have had good or bad, and also thank you for supporting my channel and subscribing, and having many more great holidays in the future. Thank you kindly, NeilR 🙏👍😎
Hi Neil, thanks for the acknowledgement of my message. As for my flying history, my first was for a school trip when I was 13, flying Dan Air (remember them) in a BAC 1-11, flying from Gatwick to Gerona in Spain. Years later, it was Air 2000 to Zante on a 757. The following time I flew it was with my mother, as we had recently lost my father, it was her first flight, so back in a 757 of Air 2000 we took off from BHX and levelled off at 4000 ft. Back then having the info screens up, I mentioned to my mother that there must be a fault with the plane, as the initial level off should have been 6000. She talked it down, possibly out of concern, so we just carried on at 4000. Shortly after, the pilot came over the speakers saying that, because of a "minor technical" issue, we would have to land at Luton. Upon this, the pilots lowered the landing gear, deployed the speed brakes and increased throttle to the engines, therefore burning off fuel before a heavy landing. Needless to say that we were chased down the runway by the airports fire service. The fault turned out to be a computer glitch which, although the plane could have got to Greece okay, it would have been grounded on arrival. We were stuck at Luton for four hours waiting for a time slot. Maybe this was not the best intro flight for my mother. Since then I have actually flown Thomson too, now TUI, so kept to the same company overall. i did not realise that Britannia were part of TUI's history, but back then they were competitors. I hope to fly again next years, either Majorca or Zante so may well use them again, although Jet2 do seem to appeal a bit@@neilrgreatestadventures Regards. Dave
@@davem9208 love Zante i used to stay in Tsilivi, I was last there in 1997 it looks a bit different now, been watching new videos from this year, it’s grown so much 😎
@@davem9208 I was good friends with Peter from the family’s restaurant, plus the rest of the family too and also spur us are used to have one of the speedboats that took trips to the shipwreck, and also did paragliding and waterskiing. I also stayed at the Mavrikos hotel up the hill abit.
Yeah the pilot said that on the plane I did video that so you could all hear, it would be good though if TUI told the passengers before hand that this would be happening, there was a lot of people saying the same things that I was, but the plane was good, staff was brilliant and very kind and friendly, also the pilot was very helpful and also the plane was very clean and tidy, it’s just a shame that the TUI staff at the airport ruined the day.
Hi there I just wanted to let you know that there is a Spanish restaurant in Lowestoft suffolk called the bath house lowestoft restaurant. I hope you can visit? Thanks Ryan Dabdoub
When we landed back at East Midlands there was no ground crew for a least an hour and you’re right Jet2 landed, and they got unloaded straight away by their own crew, but I know I said I would never fly with tui ever again, but I have now changed my mind and will be giving TUI another chance and I’ve also booked the same holiday for next year, to if they have changed things in a year. Hopefully TUI have seen my video and look into things, if not and the fail, it will make good filming and viewing 👍
Yes I no that now and they were so professional at their job they actually made up for all the problems we had at the airport and East Midlands and also in Spain. I would definitely fly with Sunwing again as the air hostesses, plus the pilots were so polite the plane was so clean and tidy and the air hostesses. could not do enough for you a credit to their airline.
Just on your comment about the size of Palma airport. Palma airport is the 3rd biggest airport in Spain after Madrid-Barajas and Barcelona El Prat. Your TUI your experience looks terrible what a total shambles. Great video though. 👍
Thank you, I’ve booked with the family to go back in June with TUI and to see if there’s any changes. East Midlands Airport was on rip of Britain this week showing the bad experiences people have been having this year, and they had all of the same problems we had, and it’s all down to staff shortages, if they paid them more wages they would probably get more out of the staff. Any way thank you for supporting me and subscribing to my channel, and I hope you enjoy all the new content I will be posting soon 🙏👍
Tui is terrible for pretty much everything , I avoid flying with where possible . I find there planes always are dirty for starters , customer service is terrible esp if you occur or have problems whilst on holiday. If you go with them just have the expectation that if problems occur they won't be dealt with and hope you are lucky enough to not experience any issues where you ever need assistance .
I don’t no if you notice that there were old people having this problem with TUI and also disabled people in wheelchairs , that didn’t get to their resort for about 2 1/2 hours, some of them even was told to get on the wrong bus and then had to return to the airport. SHOCKING 😡
That,s nothing I nearly ended up on wrong bus luckily seen on app changed bus number need make sure have tui app as don't always notify with text only thing tui to jet2 on charter 737 or 767 don't get much leg room no rep on coach have one airport once on bus on own luggage is 15k jet2 is 22k i only tend use tui aw travel alone get free seat allocation as well charge on package but jet2 is better going in group as Likley pay less on seat fee,s
Dont moan too much. We were due to fly to Bulgaria on 17th july. Ner, we took off 25½ hours late. Put up in the Hilton which was nice but they knocked up a curry out of a tin and some of the chicken was raw. Plane delayed 2½ hours the following day. Communication from Tui was via emails! You get £350 per person over 3 hours dalay. For a cancelled flight and 25½ hours late you get £350. I could cope with 3 hour delay and no compensation but losing over a day of a 7 day holiday was a pisser.
