Here and first again! Lmn if ur still on the giveaway, i did it all man! 😊❤ love ur channel honestly, cabt image the time it takes to dig through the internet for photos and pictures or articles about these dudes!
Every time I accidentally find a video featuring Ghost Town I laugh. My great uncle was the original owner. My grandmother, great grandparents, aunt and dad worked all there in the 80s! I would love to visit it and walk the park!
"Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints" Some of these kids need a reminder of the urban explorer golden rule, we lose so much animatronic history when vandals destroy locations they explore.
Indeed... Though it is also the Duty of Urban Explorers to act as Preservers. If the animatronics are not safe in their dwellings, It is best the explorer finds a way to ensure their safety and preservation. Best way to do so? Legally buy them by asking the owners if they are willing to sell them.
Fun fact! The animatronic band at 1:10 was made for a few establishments, one of which is in my hometown :) They still have them but sadly they don't work anymore (castle fun park if anyones curious)
@@Elavator66 I love the castle fun park animatronics so much! The last time I saw them working, they had all the apes and from what I remember the elephant as well! I don’t know if they have the coyote anymore but I really hope so
It is truely heartbreaking that a lot of people just go to these abandoned places just to trash them, just because no one is there to stop them. Like I bet they wouldn't like it if someone went to their house and started to smash it up and steal things for "tropheys." What a joke, may people who do that step on a stray lego brick barefoot in the dead of night.
So true, like those areas look so nice and cool and they have to mess it up. I wish I could've gone to some of the areas before they shut down, because it seems whenever it does get abandoned people have to trash it. That's why most of the areas are undisclosed, so vandals don't ruin it. But Then people just leak it and it gets ruined anyways :/
yeah, not all cei animatronics were part of the rae, idk why i’ve seen so many people think that one time someone thought the hard luck bears were a copy of the rock afire.
I think vandals should be called vandals and urban explorers who go and explore and only explore urban explorers (as they're supposed to as explorers, not steal) instead of calling all urban explorers 'vandals' when most are not.
As an urban explorer myself, we real Urban's live by the hikers motto. "Leave things as they are. The world's not yours to take" at least that's what I was taught by my "mentor"😅
I'm an urban explorer but I don't break or steal anything. the urban explorer community doesn't consider people who steal or vandalize to be urban explorers but rather jerks and criminals
Abandoned animatronics are usually more sad then scary to me, I know they are just mechanical objects, but I can feel the heart and hard work people put into the animatronics and I feel really sad. Hey Fastpass Facts, could you cover forgotten Family Entertainment Centers like the mysterious Captain Andy's River Towne? It has an interesting story, Disney ties [Imagineer Bob Gurr was one of the people who worked on the animatronics], and lawsuits. TBH, I wish Captain Andy's was successful and beat Showbiz, because the character designs are so much better IMO.
So glad I was able to run a Rockafire show back when I was 16 in Lynbrook, NY. It was a funstation. I did this for about a year. Fix the whole band, and got her running. IT WAS MY FAVORITE JOB AS A TEENAGER! Taught me so much about animatronics. Also, Jaws, man. It was constantly broken when my family went back in the 90's. We did get to go on it and thankfully it worked perfectly that time!
@@Love_drbella One of my favorite times in my younger years. Taught me about pneumatic pumps, animatronics and old school rig boxes. The programs were easy to set with a retro touch screen, and tubing a breeze to replace with a bit of contorting under the two foot stage. -> Sadly once, I remember all too well, Rocky the Racoon, who popped out of a tree stump on stage during certain songs... Decided to pull a nightmare on the room. I started the show, and mind you during a thirty head-count kid pizza party. I'm a sixteen year old skinny chick... Well, he jolted up too fast, (The pressure was off...) and his darn face fell off! Every single Kid Screamed bloody murder, panicked and ran out into the gaming area like banshees. It was complete madness. -> So, I begged my fellow coworkers to wrangle them up, as I quickly duct taped his face back on. That set was a mess, but I did my best! Got the kids back, and explained Rocky was naughty and played a trick on them. I told all the kids to scold Rocky, as I operated his pneumatic pump up and down, off program, in test mode, showing he was "sorry". -> Worked like a charm. lol Thankfully last I heard a few years ago, that set, is safely owned by someone and still working. Makes my heart so happy! . 💕
@transformerfoxyfloof8341 beak or snout? Im not sure now. I'll try to enhance the image when I have free time in the next couple of days and get a more concluse answer!
fun fact: bedrock city has a "counterpark" still in operation. This other park still contains completely in tact statues and building themed around the Flintstones. This includes: the wooly mammoth, trash cans, benches and a few other minor things. this park lost the license to the Flintstones and thus the second park (bedrock city) was born. you can find this park near Calgary, Alberta. and it one of two major theme parks in Alberta.
@@kateg7039 well not all ai is bad, check out the artist glorb, he makes SpongeBob raps using his own lyrics and SpongeBob voices, the best part is it's not to cause any drama or make anyone mad, he's just a dude that uses ai for fun
Damn that Pineville tech. He ruined one of the last Creative Presentations shows in Public. His actions astonish me, now thanks to him, no one will ever experience the original animatronics again, it's heartbreaking and infuriating.
How am I from south Dakota, and this is how I found out that they closed Flintstones in Custer? I forced my family to go there every time we were in the Black Hills as a kid.
The Walt plushie is so adorable, I wish I could get one! I truly didn’t know that attractions just getting closed down, but the jaws ride at universal, I haven’t got on that ride though! But that was the most cutest plushie, Walt!😍😍😍😍😍🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦆🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈
I live in South Dakota and I found something out while scrolling Facebook. I came across a post from Hill City Prevailer News that is titled Yabba Dabba Do-over. Basically the only statue left in Custer from Bedrock City is the statue of Dino. The current owner is working on fixing up Dino, possibly giving Dino a new name along with the possiblity of a new paint job.
OH MY GOOOOOD I was scrolling through the RU-vid recommended tab, and I saw the thumbnail. I remember I was actually obsessed with the Wilma Flintstone animatronic last year for some reason. The memories flooded in 😅
Urban explorers have a rule that is shared amongst us that you dont share locations publicly and you don't desecrate the area your exploring, if you dont follow those, you're not an urban explorer you're just a sumbag
As far as the Jaws Ride sharks go, I did hear that some were sold, others in the bone yard of abandoned ride and show pieces, but I don’t think any were buried under anything there. The reason is during the destruction of the ride, there were many videos and photos that surfaced of the attraction being demolished and one by one the sharks disappeared along with the animatronics attached to them. The ditches they were in were filled with concrete then covered over. If they just filled the ditches with concrete and the sharks still inside them, parts of the sharks would be visible sticking up out of the concrete as the water in the ride is what really hid them. Disney I know for a fact has been known to burry animatronics and props from previous rides. Like the cave in 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea ride with the huge squid. I saw a photo of the squid, props, and other items just thrown in the cave, sealed off, then built a new attractions on top and around it.
Damn… I remember going to bedrock city with my parents when we took a camping trip all around the black hills… still have pictures next to the Fred sculpture, and a Fred Flintstone t-shirt…
The Flintstones park reminds me of this yogi bear themed camp site that was in my state for years, sadly it got rethemed to a more generic campsite nowadays. I'm not a camper but I would've gone just for the themeing alone
Regarding your section regarding the Country Critters: Traildust's Pet Chicken had a name - Henrietta. The Lester and Bob Wire that were recently auctioned were auctioned off years ago, and they aren't from Tommy Bartlett's set. Tommy's set was a carbon copy of Ghost Town's show. The duo were from some unknown place in Florida.
Yeah sorry abt that I said most likely because I thought there were only 2 sets and I have heard of tommy Bartlett's band being found in someone's house but I do know a universal employee in florida got them
Custer SD mentioned. Finished school there last year. The Dino is still there (from what I remember, at least), but it has definitely seen better days.
I'm sad it took the community so long to discover the ghost town animatronics, I watched quite a few videos about them back around 2015-17. I think more than one were by CarpetBagger. When he came across them I really thought that after his video the community would be raving about them! I guess I thought he was more popular? I'm surprised his video wasn't even mentioned despite showing the animatronics years earlier! There was another video of an urbex youtuber exploring and finding them that was even older, back when they were in much better condition but I can't find that video. It was first person with no or minimal talking if I remember right. If anyone knows that video please let me know who's it was! I'm even more heartbroken to learn about bedrock. We visited a different badrock ages ago when I was a kid, it absolutely shattered me to hear what happened to this one. I always remember it so fondly and had hoped to return, I hadn't realized one was gone and disrespected so terribly, I hope the one we went to is still there! Rest in peace bedrock.
5:35 - I'm not sure what happened here, but it had me snorting soda out from my nose a bit... I know that you meant to say "a 20 foot tall statue of Dino", but what came out was a "20 foot stall tatue of Dino." So either you had a tongue twist moment, or maybe an "AI Voice" mix-up? Undecided, but thanks for the chuckle!
As much as I love urban explorers and abandoned park videos, it's sad to me how much space these abandoned places take. They should be demolished properly and be part of reforestation or something
Ankapark should not have had *this* much decay after only a few years, I'm guessing the size of the animatronics, coupled with budget cuts on material, may be the reason so much is already in bad shape
I on God would never DARE to walk into Wonderland Eurasia and I salute any brave Urban Explorer who actually has the courage to do so. You wouldn't be able to get me into that building full of dinosaur animatronics IN THE DARK even if you gave me a Goddamn Shotgun to make sure nothing would jump at me. I know its a very irrational fear, but I legit feel as if one of those things would just come to life and sneak up on me to bite my head off.
Damn while I have been to Ghosttown in the Sky and remember those rachet animatronics Wonderland Eurasia was the story that got me because Damn that was like a speedrun into the dirt.
