correction he faced waseem and WI bowlers when they were 90++, he was there in 1979 when fast bowlers were tested with speed gun, Thompson was 99 mph, Holding was second at 95 mph at 3 was Imran khan at 94 mph. He faced Marshall as well who was never tested for speed, but everyone knows Marshall was a tear away fast bowler , way faster than Holding. Waseem in those 3 years was 90+ as well. There is no opener in the World who can claim to be greater than Gavasker, i watched him as a kid, as a matter of fact watched Indian test matches just because of him, facing the deadliest bowlers from 1970's and 80'd
and you are sayingby your own that almost same you mean the differencebetween 85 and 90 miles is nothing 5 miles means almost 8 km and you are saying there is no difference even 1 or 2 miles can be cause an edge or a middle from the bat@@flankkeditz_04
There is sachin ...there is virat ...but no one can be like Sunny ...the ultimate legend....played without helmet on tough pitches...facing deadliest bowlers with no bouncer rules...the greatest Cricketer ever
Gavaskar played against some of the fastest bowlers ever in the game- West Indies, Australia, Pakistan..Opening the innings when the bowl bounces and swings, bowlers are fresh and raring to go.. And all with just a hat on the head..No helmet.. That is some strong mental strength and self confidence on own abilities...
@@AaryamanRaj You think Wasim wouldn't get hit for 10 times more sixes if played modern day Limited over cricket with smaller boundaries, bigger bats & T20 inspired attacking batting? Get that nostalgia down, Wasim played in the late 80s & 90s & barely in the early 00s, where batters were hardly trying to hit sixes or even attack that much. Shaheen as well as most top fast bowlers currently would look twice as good if they played during 80s & 90s.
Oh bol raha hai thum khelne time danger batsman touch known hai aisa isiliye gavaskar bola , idhar uska bowling dekneka kaya hai sabko malum he is left hand bowler
@@shubhsrivatava777 ek bowl lgyi na Denis lilly,Jeff Thompson,Garna ki Dhoni,Kholi ya Tumhare hitman Rohit ko permanent cricket chhod denge woh itni benkar bowling krte woh log or Sunil Gavaskar bina helmet ke khelta tha uss time pe
*There are so many great cricketers produced by India but Sir Sunil Gavaskar was built different 🙏 he played dangerous bowling attack without wearing helmet.*
Gavaskar was an absolute baller. To play some of the most fearsome fast bowlers to have played the game with no helmet and to make runs against all of them - unparalleled genius.
Sunil sir is the most deadliest batsman against fast bowlers that time. Windies seam attacks or any fast pace attacks he plays beautifully without even a helmet. Massive respect for this legend. (I'm not able watch his cricket cz, he already retired before my birth, but every time I watch his highlights, I see a greatest batsman of all time)
Wasim akram kya hai bhai usne West indies ko phoda hua hain apne time ki sabse best team thi 13 centuries against only west indies team he was the nightmare for any fast bowler💯
A lot of old school Pakistan fans Rate Sunil as the best. I havent watched him but I’ve heard too much about him from Legends of the game, He must be good 👍 👌🫡🇵🇰
Your abbu zimbabar got a gift from him recently Look how these phuckistani become innocent as they didn't know anything Illiteratacy at its peak for phuckistani 🤣🤣🤣🤡
Aravinda De Silva is the only batsman who made 100* vs Australia in 1996 World Cup Final that's like a great batsman who have guts to challenge and gave answer to Australia in World Cup Final
Todays gen have no idea how this batsman not only survived but flourished and became one of the all time greats in era where bowlers were 6"5 7 feet and facing them without helmet was no joke !! Balls of steel !
