Watching several news channels regarding all the high water and people and kids wading through that water. This is dangerous. That water is full of horrible things, including alligators, snakes, sewage and numerous hazardous germs.

The TV just show someone driving into the water and their car stopped working. I hope the insurance company doesn’t see that video. Personal safety is of paramount importance, but don’t ruin your property with a miscalculation.

Born and raised river rat gal. lived on the San Jacinto river all my life. Those people who choose to stay are well aware of the lOOTING that will ensue once they leave. Looters will pull up in boats and ransack every deserted home alone the banks. I was just 16 years old when I chose to stay behind with my dad to protect our home and animals during Alicia. Was trapped in there for near 2 weeks. Many of the homes were looted but ours sure was not.

Livingston here. Flooding is BAD in many areas. Thankfully our place in on a rise in a higher elevation and Choates Creek is taking runoff-but is full to its banks.

Why is it that y'all never report on Southeast Texas? We have trees down. Neighborhood damaged. Greg Abbott told the children not to go to school today. It's not good In Southeast Texas either we get left out of the. news. I don't understand. We've had bad hale and flooding Tomorrow doesn't look good either.
