This is truly disturbing. That the local “Gvt” feel like they can do whatever they want. To those of you saying rude things like “well who cares bc this is a 2nd home or investment”, REALLY?? This country was BUILT on people who made investments to build up second properties. The Gvt is at fault here & overstepping. I’d rather have a Godly family who “invests”, than BlackRock or Vanguard or State Street buying up THOUSANDS OF HOMES TO RENT BACK TO YOU EVERY YEAR. Not very wise to think that way rude people. It has been over 20 years since I've last been to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee and the state and county has allowed the utilities, and eminent domain to hijack the area. Same thing has happened in other former rural peaceful communities. Rights of homeowners violated.
