Only red and infrared lights were used filming this video. This Florida State Park is a Dark Sky Destination after all. Don't want to ruin the experience for others.
Of course, I was mostly looking to find wildlife, even in the dark, but my wife and I did spend time trying our hand at some astrophotography... mainly taking night lapses using different cameras.
I know I already have a video of this place, but last time I camped on a night with lots of moonlight. This time I was able to camp with my wife with no moon in sight.
I also have obtained a couple new cameras since my last trip. Now I can film in total darkness.
At night we found owls, pigs, and raccoons. During the day we saw much more. There were alligators, caracaras, owls, deer, turkey, woodpeckers, pigs, kestrel, vultures, purple gallinule, snakes, storks, grackles, sparrows, turtles, grebes, herons, rabbits, egrets, and meadowlarks.
We explored on foot and by bike. Nice to have a vehicle that fits everything at once!
