So nice watching your evolution. After recently reaching a new length I realised that my hair needs are different. I can't wear my hair shrunken without having to pay for it with HOURS of detangling. I've used direct heat (blow drier) a total of 3 times in my 5 years of being natural and I've never straightened it. I think I might have to start blow drying more frequently. I can't wait to watch how you evolve😊😊

Thanks sis. am hoping to try a few things before I settle in a new routine or head back to my twisted lifestyle but this is what I have been doing since heat stretching the hair
@princessoh2751

African threading is a useful technique too. It gives a whole lot of stretch. I haven’t applied heat in a year and six months now on my hair. Everytime I wash I would thread and it works pretty good. I might be at waist length or tailbone haven’t done a length check in some months. But my hair lives in mini twist too because it tangles so easily plus I’m a very lazy natural. If I can’t find the time to re-twist I either wear a headband wig or wrap my hair up.

Change is good! There is a season for everything. Now you are learning how to maintain a heat stretched style. It definitely can be done safely in my opinion! I have been experimenting too… mainly with my twists. I have discovered if I twist my hair in about 45 twists and then braid the twists up in 8 braids, my twists last a long time. I rock my single twists 4 or so times a week ensuring to braid them up at night. I will definitely consider heat straightening with revere when I decide to buy one. Love your stretched hair. It makes you happy so enjoy it!!!

I was just watching and want to tell you that tea tree oil, lavender oil, and evening primrose oils are three ingredients that I researched and found for impeding facial hair growth. There are others but these are the main three I remember. I will look it up again to find any others.❤❤❤

What 🙀! They slow down hair growth?
@lnyawilliamsmoore
@lnyawilliamsmoore 2 месяца назад
Jojoba oil is the closest to natural sebum. Flaxseed oil is good to use as well imo. Pumpkin seed oil is supposed to help with hair growth if I remember correctly. I've had a similar hair brush you used in this video. Boar bristle brush is old school for helping to distribute the sebum onto the hair. Brushing the hair while holding the head down is said to help with blood flow to the scalp. Note: It's been reported that since hair strands grow at different rates what looks like that the hair is uneven or damaged ends or straggly may be that certain hairs have grown longer and faster than the other strands or older strands have outgrown the new growth. Blunt cut became popular to make a hairstyle look more even and neater and thicker. Whatever you choose to do with your hair,as long as it's managed well is key(even internally). Thanks for sharing 🙏🏾 💜 💐 😀

The three oils that I use on my scalp combined are jojoba, Roman chamomile, and lemongrass. This help with itchiness and dryness. All have good properties for the scalp. But you can use any carrier oil that works for you.

Thank you so much for your videos, they are very helpful dear. ❤️ I’m coming for the length retention challenge. Is this challenge friendly to transitioning girls? If it’s should we be cutting our hair every 3 months? Or can we just do it once we feel it’s long enough during the challenge period?
