I love the lyrics of Elan, there are so many layers to them. Even after years you can discover new meanings. As you grow personally, this song grows with you and that's just amazing.
“Meet me where the kliff meets the sea”; if you listen to How’s the heart, the second verse starts with”We met where the kliffs meet the sea”. I read somewhere that Tuomas wrote that whole verse aspecially for Floor..
Great reaction! Never, in the history of music entertainment, have a set of skills and talent collided in such powerful manner. Tuomas is a true genius as a composer and with lyrics and Floor is a Valkyrie Goddess.
Great reaction as always dude, always love how much you feel the depth of this remarkable band. They mention 'Meadows of Heaven ' in this song, and that is actually another Nightwish song, from Annette's time in the band. There's no good live footage so here's a link to the lyric video 🤘 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vxsjv6LtRz0.htmlsi=86zUxWWIxRF8G4sX
@SaeedReacts. I have seen the Meadows of Heaven phrase often in the lyrics and think it refers back to the rural countryside natural world that Tuomas grew up in.
Greetings again from Finland! I like this video, so many legends. Finnish actors; Seela Sella, Vesa Vierikko, Ismo Kallio, Eeva Litmanen, Pekka Huotari.. maybe some others as well. They have a huge footprint on Finnish TV/movies/theatre and especially important for me: comedy. Good stuff 😊
Great reaction as always, your reactions are so educational. Obviously you are a well read young man that has a vast amount of knowledge, far more than I'll ever have. My patience for reading is very limited which is my bad , thanks topman
Troy was playing a Tin Whistle (its small in size with a high pitch)not a flute , In some songs he also plays a Low Whistle (its bigger with a deeper pitch)
Tuomas wanted Edema Ruh as first single, but Troy and Marco convinced him that it had to be Elan. (edema ruh acoustic from the Baltic cruise: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y0mHYwRNqeE.html)
As always with nightwish, there are a couple of Easter eggs in the lyrics. 1-As another user pointed out, meadows of heaven is the title of the title of another song from a previous album. 2- In the same line, they mention the word "harvest". Now, that's a fairly common word and I don't think that is an intended easter egg, but it's funny that they literally say "await harvest", and on their next album one of the songs is named harvest. 3-The line "we meet where the the cliff greets the sea" apparently has something to do with the way floor met her husband and the following section deals with the birth of her first child. The exact same line will also appear in a song of their next album. Keep up the good work! EDIT: typo
This is one of my two favourite Nightwish songs and yes I have left instructions I wish to leave this wonderful planet to this song. Alongside an Anette era song 'Meadows of Heaven' is also mentioned did you notice in this song? Nightwish is a band that you need to read some books to understand but why not expand our minds and listen to fantastic music while we are here. I really enjoyed your reaction video thank you!
@@SaeedReacts. I wasn't planning to leave any time soon! But we all have to make that last trip and to find out the answer to the ultimate question... What happens next?💀☠👻
Sooo. Has the lyrics made you despondent that you never thought of it, or, has it inspired you to research more nd be more creative. I'm asking because you write lyrics. I'm 70 and a lot of the old songs and lyrics are beyond a lot of the youth nowadays. They just seem to go for the, not the story being told. Dave south Africa.
Hi Dave, I dont actually write lyrics, i write fiction/novels. Although i have written a few songs, but not nearly enough to call myself a songwriter. Some lines in these songs are enough to inspire a short story or even a novel. And that idea is so exciting to me. Not in the way that i will do that, but its gotten me enough motivation to go back to my own writing which has been a bit dorment in the last 2 months. So taking in these beautiful lyrics has inspired me to pick my own pen back up 😃 Greetings from Belgium.
