It is a little known fact, but the FloorFan which gives her hair that ethereal floaty effect also protects the air around her from spontaneously combusting due to the power of the vocal wave energy (VWE) emanating from her. It is not just for comfort and style, it is totally a public safety measure.
Emppu (MPoo) is a magnificent guitarist who knows very well how to shred and do acrobatics but he never does more than what the song requires, adding instead of subtracting which is one reason i love him so much. And he's a prankster of course :-))
And when she windmills in front of it she's just practicing saying "hello, most loyal fan. Let us make this a night to remember. Super." in its native language.
Great reaction :) Firstly - yeah she has a fan on stage lol - yes the Nightwish Army are in attendance don't worry, im just the forward scouting party lol - loved it, wow you have so much more to experience, looking forward to the rest of your journey :)
Want to hear even more of her vocal range? Try "Yours is an empty hope" and lady, give yourself space, I suspect you really wanna get into that one :) Love your reactions. Great stuff! Seeing another Metal singer react to Floor, is just great.
Speaking of Floor, I watched one of her personal videos from her RU-vid channel over the weekend. Floor and her husband were putting up fence on their property in Sweden during downtime due to Pandemic. After project is completed, Floor was discussing about returning back to the stage. There is something that I didn't realized Floor is very tall lady. Actually, she has two channels: Floor Jansen and Floor Jansen Clips. Yes, there are fans onstage blowing towards her and rest of the band.
Nice reaction🤘🤘! Some say that the best way to identify extraterrestrial female goddes from the planet symphonys metallicus is to observe if their helium hair gets floating when they mesmerize you to the happiness. (NOTE not to be confused with other floaty hear, the snake hair medusa which can turn you to stone.) Stay safe!
Floor and the entire band are amazing. Studying Floor is an education in stage presence and crowd control... consumate professional. Would love to hear from a singer a discussion of the preformace elements that they can take away and incorporate into their own stage work.
Boom Girllll 💙.🤘😄. Nightwish Army has arrived ..and ..ya took their Best song in my opinion 🐺💜👑.. thanks 4j Yo Great comment ...nothing to add but ....well ...next song " the Devil & the deep dark ocean " buenos Aires 2018 ....you'll be Amazed 👍🤗🙏🏼
love your reactions ..love your enthusiasm and appreciation for this amazing band ...like your energy on stage as well you the next Floor ??..keep rockin' ..youll make it !!!!...TRY Weak Fantasy live @ Tampere ....great song you wont br disappointed...
Many many thanx Suzi ! You're so right, they really enjoy what the're doing ! & we all enjoy watching !!! Really enjoying your truly honest & genuine reactions , just keep doing what you're doing !!!
The hair the sass the looks into the camera gotta say the girl doing this reaction is lovely :) and has a really nice vibe about her personality as well
Nice reaction! This concert took place nearly 2.5 years after Wacken 2013. On December 19 2015. Did you you notice the new tattoos on both of her upper arms. The Flooral pattern on her left arm. Now in 2020, goes all the way down to the back of her hand, on that side.
The "Wembley, let's go!" Always gets me This performance is everything and loved your dance on the chair, you look as sensual as Floor while dancing too 😊💜
Awesome reaction! I wonder if Floor was going for the Windmill record, but she also had to sing. You would think that she would eventually get dizzy... She never looks it though, the tried and true professional performer! :)
Yes ... here I am, whenever this song is playing. The awesome atmosphere on that stage and Floor’s performance here is so intense. Breath-holding, I looked at this as always and you seem to like this yourself.
Gonna suggest "The Poet and the Pendulum" live at Wembly, but definitely do a little research into the story behind why Tuomas wrote tge song. Definitely a powerful, emotional roller coaster of a song. Also, check out Wintersun "Sons of Winter and Stars" live at Sonic Pump Studios. The musicianship in that one will melt your brain like you just opened the Ark of the Covenant! It also features current Nightwish drummer Kai Hahto.
Loved this reaction Suzi - not much more to say! I'm having a helluva good time watching you and also SVC as your Nightwish journey unfolds. Please keep 'em coming!!! 🤘😄🤘
her first Troy! you'll see him pop up from time to time. nice intro! hair is gettin darker! lookin hot Ms Lady! yes, she has a fan. you will also notice there's a different drummer from the Wacken concert. the original drummer, Jukka, was forced to stop performing, due to extreme insomnia. he's fine now. the new drummer is Kai from Wintersun.
It wears you out just listening to this song! This son is all about "Carpe Diem" and a little bit about your band as well. Peace! Howl, seven days to the wolves Where will we be when they come? Seven days to the poison And a place in heaven Time drawing near as They come to take us
Hi Susie, just joined the fun, I'm also a member of the Nightwish Army, I have prolly listened to Ghost Love Score 400+ times and still get Chills everytime, and I just want to say, I glad to see another Full Figured woman fronting a band. Hopefully you don't take that as a put down, I just tired of seeing Stick figured women that can hide behind a mike stand on stage. One of my favorite Nightwish songs is Story Time, I think you would love it also!!!
Nice reaction!!! Yes, there is usually a fan (the rotary-air-moving-device-type) on the floor in front of Floor when she performs on stage. But, Floor floors me every time so I'm a fan on the floor as well. Funny how all the words are "double entendres" here.
Welcome to the journey of Nightwish. You have a lot to discover! They can do so much. You need to see, yours an empty hope, storytime, The greatest show on earth. If you like to see the skills of Marko the bass player, While the lips are still red. And don't forget!!!!!! Poet and the pendulum. But before this song. . . . . Please do some homework. Some background information is neccasary. And listen to song with lyrics. Enjoy the ride.
Suzi Q - after the great Suzi Quatro? She was my first rock 'n' roll crush when I was a young kid in the 1970s. No wonder I prefer bassists to guitarists. 🤘
I would love to see you AND Travis to "Poet and the Pendulum" from the Wembley Arena live show...If Ghost Love Score wowed you guys, prepare yourselves. It's the next level in the Nightwish Epic Trio of songs.
there is a fan in front of her on the ground that blows her hair and they blow my mind time after time.....you wil like yours an empty hope life at wembley and greatest show on earth is also mind blowing like many songs of Nightwish enjoy en thnx for another great reaction
I see a reaction to one of my favorite songs of my favorite band and I have to sub!! Enjoy your journey with amazing music and heavenly vocals. Next Yours Is An Empty Hope from this same Wembley consert, ty. Greetings from Nightwish fan since 1997 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Nightwish is just one of those rare bands that manages to somehow sound even BETTER live, than in studio. I usually steer clear of concert vids, but not with Nightwish😍
Hello hello hello hello. You can't go around with the Dutch windmill.her stage presence and how she commands a crowd hasn't been done since Freddy. Not only does she raise the bar, but nightwish is the bar and the genre. Love your show keep on keeping on...
Well dear Suzy Q, now ypu have had the pleasure of 3 Floorgasms (the official word!) - so now you are prepared to the next level. Wembley 2016 (+ 80.000 in crwd) The opening: Shudder before the beautiful - from zero to lightspeed in seconds and a battle between guitar and keyboard. Next: Yours is an empty hope - psy attention to who is doing what!!! Next: The Poet and the Pendulum - this is definitely the highest level of composing and performance. This one brings Nightwish fans to tears (for real!!) - a masterpiece. Next - to bring you back on feet - back to Wacken 2013 - and do: Ever Dream and Ghost River. I can asure you, that you will get addicted - and you will also be addicted to your daily Floorgasm (it is the official word - not kidding). Great reaction from you - and just keep them coming - us from the Army will take good care of you. Answer to the questions: Yes they have fans in front of the them - but actually not necessary while the crowd are screaming in front of them 😅 Tuomas, keyboard writers 95% of all the songs. He makes a raw sample on keyboard, sends it to the others, who study their parts and adds the personal touch if necessary (in few cases the song changes totally). Then after a couple of weeks, they all meets in Toumas's cabin / studio, by a lake, deep down in the Finish woods, to get all the material mixed and recorded. This takes weeks - not many but from 2 and up. Then the go to London, to record the Symphonic background. And then promotion - a studio album - rehearsals - and then!!! The LIVE CONCERTS. Nightwish are probably the best live band currently - especially after Floor and Troy became permanent members in 2013. If you want to be impressed - please watch the documentary "Learn the setlist in 48 hours". It's about how Floor came into Nightwish as a substitute for their current front singer Anette, who got ill during a world tour. Floor received a call from Tuomas, while she was at her sister's wedding in the Netherlands, jumped on a plane to US, and entered the stage two days later, having learned the setlist on the plane (lucky passengers!!) It's two hours documented - worth every minute - and it shows how Floor took the old songs and made them her own, introducing the fans to her style and singing. The fans loved it - and Emppu's first Floorgasm are documented as well and!! 😂 Just keep them coming 🤘 🤘 🤘
Slight correction. Wembley Arena has a max capacity of 12500 as opposed to Wembley stadium that has a max capacity of 90000. NW have never played the stadium only the arena.
Great reaction, good analysis, and comments right on point. You are enjoying those Floorgasms a little too much lol... but hey, I don't blame you. She's everything one could ask for and with a killer voice to boot, all wrapped nicely in a cute 6 foot 1 package. 😂 Thanks for the video and would you do a reaction to "Ever Dream" from Wacken open air 2013? Enjoy. 😊❤🤘🤘
Just by hearing your band’s music I may suggest you some more Finnish stuff in that vocal or musical style: Turmion Kätilöt - Naitu, Fear of Domination - Legion, Fear of Domination - Obsession, Battle Beast - Bastard Sons of Odin 🤘
Nightwish is actually one of the groups credited with the creation of the Metal Sub-genre of Symphonic Metal (according to Wikipedia!). Symphonic Metal in general only borrows the hard driving double kick drums, and the hard grungy style guitars and bass from Metal. However, in Symphonic Metal the guitar is not the primary focal point, it is in fact the keyboards and their movie-scorish sounding orchestral sound. The keyboard player Tuomas Holopainen is the composer of all of the music arrangements and is the leader of the group. He is a personal huge lover of movie scores, which is where a lot of the movie-scorish style sound of the keyboards (which is the primary focal point of Nightwish’s music instrumentally) comes from. When Symphonic Metal first started the female singles ALL used an operatic style of singing, but as the Genre has evolved over the last 20+ years since Nightwish came long, they have adopted more of a contemporary style of singing like Floor uses currently. Being a former music major in college and who plays piano and keyboards myself, I was aware it has long been considered by some OLD SCHOOL music people that fusing Metal with things like Opera or Classical was a taboo, but not any longer!!! Nightwish First singer was Tarja Turunen, who was a classically trained singer, and was with them for a little over 10 years. Since Symphonic Metal came on the scene over in Europe, the operatic style of singing was originally the style most of those bands used, stylistically speaking. Over time they have evolved into more of a main stream contemporary style of singing like the style Floor Jansen and others sing in currently now. Also 90-95% of all Symphonic Metal bands are all female fronted. Currently only Kamelot and a hand full of other Symphonic Metal bands even have male singers, and they are normally referred to as Symphonic Power Metal. The female fronted bands are the ones usually referred to over in Europe as ‘Symphonic Metal’. The most popular being Nightwish, Within Temptation, Epica, and Delain. Nightwish’ second singer was a singer from Sweden named Anette Olzon, and she was more of a rock style contemporary singer and did not have quite as dynamic of a range vocally. *****One thing fans noted was during her entire tenure with Nightwish, I don’t recall ever seeing one OFFICIAL live performance video either as a song or a concert that was officially released by the band itself. There was of course live concerts and live videos from Tarja’s era, but not during Annette’s. This subject and everything surrounding it has been a huge topic of speculation among some of the Nightwish Army. BUT Nightwish fans still love Anette regardless for the contribution she added to the group and its history. ***** Floor Jansen as you know is Nightwish current and believe it or not, is their third singer since 1996, and is from the Netherlands. She was in a Band called After Forever shortly after Nightwish released its first album back in 1996 and started the Symphonic Metal movement, and After Forever was also one of the first few Symphonic Metal Bands back then as well. So Floor has been around in the metal scene, and Symphonic Metal scene for a VERY long time. So when she joined the band around 2013, there were quite a few fans that were EXTREMELY happy, who of course knew who she was already. Floor Jansen, is the most dynamic singer, Nightwish has had to date. Period. She was the more than able to win over the hearts of the diehard fans who loved Nightwish from the Tarja Era, because she can do everything Tarja can do, and more. Floor’s humble nature also fits right in with how humble the rest of the group is. She fits into who Nightwish is, and it’s a perfect fit.
someone has no doubt told you by now, Floor is their 3rd lead singer. all the ones you've done so far were originally written for and recorded by someone else. you want a Nightwish Floor original, with Floor growling, check out "Yours Is An Empty Hope". there are several versions to pick from: Wembley, Tampere, and the NW Cruise. you're welcome.
as long there is a wish made in the Night there will be a dark poet, Suzi the army isnt far away when ever you ask for us. so for " 7 days to the wolves" The title is taken from a King's novel called “Wolves of the Calla”. But the conception of the book has nothing to do with the text behide the song, it is far more inspired by the film "Dead Poets' Society". The main idea is - one must live his life the best he can, to strive for his aims, because the wolves are always 7 days behind you and they will catch you if your life is not of full value... and then you will be only dead meat. That's what Tuomas said in one interview some time ago. Floor knows it yes she does , after her burnout phase Nightwish breathed life as mutch life in her as she did in them, and when she "commands" the fan she knows that these fan love her and give her back what she gives to them, this is by far the most "addictive drug" any artist can get on and its toatly safe and unharmfull best regards Suzi, a "dark poet"
Cool reaction, can see that you really enjoy it. Can you also give a reaction to yours is an empty hope? In that song Floor growls,i think that you like it.
Finaly home and time to watch your reaction, your face at the end was perfect. I think this one is on repeat now. Another great one is Yours is a empty hope (Wembley) if you like growling and I know you do.
I’m fairly new to nightwish, I heard them years ago with Tarja and not my cup of tea, but now oh my god, I feel like I’ve been missing out, not only are they one of the best bands I’ve ever seen but Floor gotta be the only person I’ve seen who looks amazing in blue light.
Floorgasms can be found with ever dream wakken 2013,as well as the greatest show on earth live in tampere...I’ve survived multiple floorgasms from many other songs but these are epic and shouldn’t be ignored.Blessings and peace!
Good reaction, thanks. The Lead / Rhytm guitarist Emppu Vuorinen has total freedom to do whatever he wants when it's time for his solo, the keyboardist Tuomas Holopainen trusts his bandmembers that much. Emppu has said in an interview that as he gets older he gets less interested in shining and shredding away like crazy. Instead he wants to do what is needed to enhance the music and that's exactly what he does, nothing more, nothing less
